“I can't say what I like best, because it is all delicious. I usually get the enchiladas huertenas because I can't decide if the mole, red sauce, or green sauce is better; they are all equally wonderful. So are their tender, flavorful tamales. even their chips & salsa are a cut above. Pickup during the pandemic is fast and painless, which we appreciate.“

“Hands down the best Mexican food I have had in CT. My husband and I ordered the elote( off the Cobb) and the steak burrito. Everything was was seasoned to perfection and tasted made to order. Bonus: the customer service was superb. Can’t wait to visit again!“

“Rancho Viejo saved my life. Catering order with Chipotle snafu and I was left with no food for my daughter’s graduation. They were the first restaurant I thought to call with a last minute dinner order. They saved the day and the food was delicious (and very plentiful!). Thank you, Rancho Viejo!“

“1. Service was professional tacos were the best i've ever had in twenty years.Would I recommend this restaurant!!!! Absolutely. One hundred percent way better than the new haven trucks way better than any restaurant imitation mexican food!!! If you come here, not only are their prices reasonable, but try everything on the menu. It's phenomenal in the food taste very authentically quality.
5 stars, they deserve, bring your whole
family here. You will be very happy!!!!!!

“My current top hidden gem for amazing and authentic Mexican food. Hidden in La plaza del Mercado, this spot has the most amazing tripe soup, where the tripe was properly cleaned, no funky taste/smell, cooked perfectly tender. Great caldo de res as well, the meat was tender and had a strong beef flavor, soup was light and refreshing and the veggies provided a nice natural sweetness and the squash was incredible inside. Their tacos are great as well and their pricing is a bargain and their portions are quite good.“

“Decided to try this place instead of the usual chipotle. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of my burrito with chips and queso. Infinitely higher quality than chipotle at a similar cost. Of note, my burrito was a little on the liquidy side, which made it slightly messy. However, if nothing changed I would get the same thing again in a heartbeat. Will be returning soon.“

“I have been here several times and they never fail to amaze me. 110% AUTHENTIC- you will feel like you’re eating in Reynosa! (Town in Tamaulipas, Mexico- one the Texas border). The food is just amazing really… the service is great. I would definitely recommend this place!“

“3.4.26 our 1st time here and we found our new local gem. We were seated right away. The margs were perfect. Our entrees came out fast and everything tasted perfectly seasoned. The staff came around and filled our waters and refilled the salsa without us even asking. Everyone was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.“
