“An authentic Mexican dining experience in an unassuming strip mall. This gem has a homey decor, and fast friendly service. Tony was on point, as our server, and we didn't want for anything. The food was amazing. It wasn't just the flavors but the presentation. I've never had large tostito chips like this and it was just a fun experience. The green and red salsas are some of the best I have had. Very different flavor profiles, the green is milder with hints of avocado and maybe a bit of jalapeno. The red salsa has some heat. For dinner my wife had a chicken burrito. It was on the drier side which is how she prefers them and she said it was excellent. I tried a new dish, Alambres. It is a pile of steak, bacon peppers and onions covered in cheese. It was awesome, but unless you are a professional, you won't finish it. Also, if you like heat ask for the red spicy sauce on the side. We were too stuffed for dessert but we will definitely be going back again, so we will plan accordingly. As a note, they do have a bar as well and Mariachi night on Thursdays.“

I usually get the enchiladas huertenas because I can't decide if the mole, red sauce, or green sauce is better; they are all equally wonderful. So are their tender, flavorful tamales. even their chips & salsa are a cut above. Pickup during the pandemic is fast and painless, which we appreciate.“

“1. Service was professional tacos were the best i've ever had in twenty years.Would I recommend this restaurant!!!! Absolutely. One hundred percent way better than the new haven trucks way better than any restaurant imitation mexican food!!! If you come here, not only are their prices reasonable, but try everything on the menu. It's phenomenal in the food taste very authentically quality.

“My current top hidden gem for amazing and authentic Mexican food. Hidden in La plaza del Mercado, this spot has the most amazing tripe soup, where the tripe was properly cleaned, no funky taste/smell, cooked perfectly tender. Great caldo de res as well, the meat was tender and had a strong beef flavor, soup was light and refreshing and the veggies provided a nice natural sweetness and the squash was incredible inside. Their tacos are great as well and their pricing is a bargain and their portions are quite good.“

“Decided to try this place instead of the usual chipotle. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of my burrito with chips and queso. Infinitely higher quality than chipotle at a similar cost. Of note, my burrito was a little on the liquidy side, which made it slightly messy. However, if nothing changed I would get the same thing again in a heartbeat. Will be returning soon.“

“Hello I just wanted to say how phenomenal the food was and how pleased I was after eating. If you are looking for something tasty I recommend the cemita for 16$ you get a sandwich that will fill you up for the rest of the day, I also want to say the customer service is great a really kind mother and her son working there. To conclude great food, great service, and great experience. If you are looking for great authentic Mexican food this is for you. I also want to add Valerys review is wrong since this place is a food truck and does not do delivery so it is not their fault.“

“Stopped by after a recommendation from friends. The classic margarita flight was so fun (and yummy!) and the Spicy Mango shrimp and Birria Tacos were to die for. Service was above and beyond. We can’t wait to come back!“
