“Randomly stumbled upon Gaetanos in Westport yesterday when looking for a place to get sandwiches before my son’s baseball game. Having grown up in Belmont Little Italy for the first 22 years of my life I was skeptical about the “Arthur Ave style..” claim on the sign. Well I can tell you they delivered and then some! Was warmly greeted, handled samples of delicious cheeses and more. They were too skeptical when I said I grew up on Arthur Ave but once we started chatting they knew I wasn’t BSing. Saw familiar faces and reminisced about life on Arthur Ave. The owners are warm and kind - the real deal keeping it true to the Arthur Ave spirit. Dare I say they might even do it better!! I can’t say enough about the excellent food and service. If I ever find myself in Westport again I will certainly make a visit! Aside from my son’s team’s win, this nostalgic experience truly made my day and made me feel like I was back home in the Bronx when life was more simple. And yes, everything we ordered and sampled was delicious! No skin on the eggplant and bread from Addeo - doesn’t get any better!“

“The food is incredibly fresh AND delicious...and everybody working there has a smile on their face and is ready to help you if needed. I believe El Sol opened during the pandemic and they've been very successful...I believe that speaks for itself! I live right next door so I'm completely spoiled..🤣“

“The guys at Cutting Wedge are super friendly. Gianna at the register is a sweetheart. The food was amazing. It was so hard to choose and not buy one of everything. I will definitely be buying one of their "family meals" next time I'm hosting and do not have time to cook. They even offered delivery with certain orders.“

“This review is long overdue, I’ve been going to Mattei’s for a long time now. Their food is outstanding. If you like eggplant this place has the best eggplant I’ve ever had. Not to mention unlike a lot of other places, Mattei’s loads up their sandwiches and gives you PLENTY! The employees are also very polite and happy to help. All of their food is delicious, I highly recommend coming here and trying it.“

“The deli in the Old Post Market puts out some amazing sandwiches, that's what Guilfort Grimsly from the Radio City Bar there on Peabody road tells me every time I go there for a beer. He's always pumping up the place, so I asked him if he's getting a kickback from the place..he isn't but he smiled like he could have been. Well, I finally went to the Old Post Market, and got a couple of amazing sandwiches. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“I love their chicken over rice. The lamb of rice is also very good. It’s not dry at all. The grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite without the cheese. Their cheeseburger hamburger quality of the meat is amazing. Highly recommend this place.“

“The atmosphere is amazing Portuges American culture at it’s best. Their rolls are sold state wide in grocery stores. Time makes a ? world of difference purchasing rolls the same day out the oven priceless. Bola de Rey dates back to early 1800 also known as kings bread. Bucket list.“

“A really good deli spot in Bridgeport. They have awesome sandwiches and soup options. They also have a breakfast menu as well. The lunch spot is no frills, a bunch of trackers to eat your lunch but the staff is really friendly and it’s the type of place when you come in, they remember your name.“

“AMAZING! A.S is amazing. Their staff is so patient and helpful. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the location is near perfect. We usually travel to Norwalk, but thankful they opened a location near Shelton/Monroe. We went before Christmas Eve and it made our holiday feel “normal”.“

“I just did a grubhub pickup of a cheeseburger and chicken tenders with fries. Best tenders I have ever had. Burger was great too. Very pleasant atmosphere when walking in. Highly recommended.“
“Fresh Polish cold cuts. Polish breads - not everyone knows - are without chemicals and made with 5 ingredients only!!!! Flour, salt, water, yeast, sugar. Besides that, spices in best prices, many in ecological grade, fantastic Polish mineral waters from springs and containing minerals essential to human health. Once you start drinking them, you are not going to drink fake Gatorade drinks that are not only filled with harmful colorants but also contain sugar.“

This is my second cake with Chaves Bakery, and once again I highly recommend them for anyone looking a beautiful and delicious cake. “I love Aux delices, have for many many years, both in Greenwich and now in Westport. Food is delicious but I do have to say that when I buy the turkey burger, which is super yummy, 1 out of 5 times it is undercooked and I have to throw it into the garbage. It's just too expensive for it to be that way. Such a shame....“
“Amazing, tiny Polish grocery packed with all manner and variety of Polish goodies. The 2 workers there were most helpful and pleasant. Fun to browse and try new things or find favorites for friends and family. The parking is on Rte 34 and a bit tricky but can be done.“

“My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a whim since our first two places didn’t work out. We enjoyed what we got I got a well done bacon egg and cheese and my friend had the Gorgonzola salad. My friend was a huge fan of the salad and even made sure to tell the manager. I would go again to try something else and I know my friend will be back for the salad!“

“For a local deli not bad think Fortuna in Westport is much better but for a local inexpensive lunch option in Fairfield this is a decent spot. Friendly employees who can almost tell what you are going to order b4 u tell them. Area to eat in is kept clean and pleasant. Outdoor sidewalk seating would be a nice addition...“
“Absolutely love this place. They have a great selection of polish style foods, and spices. Been here numerous times, and plan to go there again and again. Very courteous people and extremely helpful. The best part is the hot foods and sausages. For a small store they carry a large selection.“
