“We had dinner on a Saturday night, the restaurant was a full house. Our server was amazing, she was very attentive during the entire time. The only negative to the evening was I ordered the Texas Cobb salad and added steak. The salad itself was perfect, however for the price they charge to add steak I was very disappointed in the amount and quality of the meat. This one hiccup will not stop me from being a returning customer for sure, just a note for future.“

“Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. I walked into a warm welcome from the owner Margaret, who was also my server and she was such a sweet lady with a great personality. She was so friendly and great with all her customers and I sat there smiling the whole time. Buford's does not have a huge FB following with just over 1k followers but it is truly an Amazing Hidden 💎 Gem breakfast spot of Groton!❤️ I walked in the door ready to eat so I ordered and reviewed a couple popular menu items: 1. Western Omelet w/Home fries & wheat toast $13.00 💣 2. Buford's Big Breakfast w/pancakes $13.20 💣 The service and atmosphere of Buford's is very laid back, comfortable and when it comes to the food they don't disappoint! I started with the Western Omelet and I ate quite a bit of it because it was the bomb 💣 I knew that I couldn't finish all the food so I moved on to those fluffy delicious pancakes with two easy over eggs, Home fries, crispy bacon and sausage patty. It was all amazingly Dope and easily earned a bomb 💣 as well! I had an amazing experience at Buford's and I understand why the fans have shared great experiences dining there. “The Shipwright's Daughter came highly recommended to us by locals we had talked with while vacationing in Mystic, and it did not disappoint. We booked a reservation for 7:15pm on a Saturday evening, and we were seated promptly at 7:15. From the hosts initial greeting, to our server first introducing herself at the table, every staff member made us feel welcomed. It was lovely. The cocktail my girlfriend ordered and the local draft I ordered were both outstanding. Our appetizers of Oysters on the Half Shell and a Yellowfin Tar Tar served on a Potato Pavé, were both so delicious, full of flavor, and beautiful. Our entrees consisted of the Zucchini Bucatini and the Duck Confit special, and both came out perfect. The seasoning, the cook of the duck, the plating were all immaculate. It's very clear the staff takes pride in their work, and make sure the guests have an outstanding experience. We finished with dessert, a Plum Sorbet Pavlova with a Peach Reduction, an Espresso Martini, and an Irish Coffee. We were finished with our meal and drinks and on our way by 8:20pm. All in all, it was the best experience I've had in a restaurant. The meals were phenomenal, the staff was top tier ( I apologize I can not remember our waitresses name, but she was outstanding), and the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. If you are traveling to the mystic area, and you want to have an outstanding dining experience, this is the place for it“

“Two highly experienced CIA grads and an avowed foodie went for late lunch - Xmas and New Year cheer. The food was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for anything more - excellent tuna, lobstah rolls, lobstah taco, and a most excellent BLT with avocado - hand cut fries, even. And what might be the tenderest yummy squid I’ve ever had. Stiff Blanton’s rocks for reasonable and a cold dogs and boats? from Beer’d nearby. And a wonderful server/tender. “We had the most wonderful experience with Langley’s for our small, intimate wedding reception. The customer service was great from start to finish. The event manager Brian was incredibly attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of, ensuring our day went smoothly. The food was fantastic and we received rave reviews from our guests. The team went above and beyond by setting up our decorations exactly as we envisioned, making the space look beautiful. They were also very accommodating and willing to work with us in case we needed to move our outdoor ceremony indoors, as well. “This was kind of a last minute thing because a friend heard we were in this area and recommended it. It was about an hour before they closed, so there was no wait for the two of us. Everyone was super nice and helpful.

Someone else in the reviews mentioned that there’s street parking (very little, don’t rely on finding any) and there’s also a public lot about a block away (short walk slightly uphill to the restaurant). The restaurant validates an hour, which turned out to be a $5 credit, we stayed a little over an hour and a half and ended up paying like $10 still if I remember correctly.

My husband and I are NOT seafood people, which makes this restaurant an unusual choice for us. They do have non-seafood options but we both had a fairly heavy lunch so decided to try their fish dishes. The native catch that day was swordfish which my husband got, and I had the monkfish katsu (don’t look up what a monkfish looks like if you don’t already know 😅). Both were absolutely delicious. Dessert was an almond brown butter cake that was to die for. I’d love to return to try their other menu items someday.“

We were here for dinner, and had the greek dinner special + the prime rib special. Both had generous portions, tasted good, and were served promptly on a busy weekday evening. Bartender honored my request to put the PGA fedex cup golf on. About 7 beers and tap and full bar available. Pint drafts were $7.5 for craft beer. mixed vodka drink $6.75. wife had a chicken caesar salad which she enjoyed very much. chicken good. lettuce fresh, definitely meal size $17. I had the Nachos with chili $18 which was tremendous. big cheese guy and they appropriately spread the cheese over all layers of chips. highly recommend if you are Nacho platter fan.“

“01.26.25- 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Little Galapagos Restaurant ❤️ City of New London ❤️ I dropped into The Little Galapagos Restaurant this evening to review a couple of their popular menu items which were Chicken Wings, Thai Chilli Sauce followed by Carne Asada Ecuadorians Style meal that was actually really Dope ❤️ however the Chicken wings were not great at all so they earned a Thumbs 👎🏾 The atmosphere and service was really dope there and I am sure that had I ordered anything else on the menu besides the Wings would have been just as good as the Carne Asada. They sell mini baked pies, breads and other baked goods on the premises. The restaurant setting with views on the river was perfect. In warm weather, there is a covered deck to enjoy the river view even better. It's open today with Mother's Day specials. I'll be back again soon even though for me it's a 40-minute drive.“

“Black point pizza is always my go to when I want an absolutely amazing pizza. for me I have the cooks keep it in the oven a bit longer so it stands up when you pick it up to eat. the sauce is to die for also. if you like your pizza a little more firm just ask and the cooks are happy to make your food exactly as you like. minor the owner is a stand up guy and really did good with this recipe. the salads and his homemade balsamic dressing is the best I've had from anywhere. if you have not come out to black point you are really missing out.
