“I'm from Massachusetts and am lucky enough to have Tree House and Trillium very close by. World class breweries imo. Fox Farm is the Tree House/ Trillium of Connecticut. If your looking for the best craft beer/brewery in Connecticut look no further. This is the best by a mile. My go to every time I visit CT.“
“Small space but it's cozy and great for conversation with loved ones. Beautiful decorations, friendly staff. However, I've lived in CT, RI, and MA and out of all three states (and the many breweries I've tried while residing in each), this brewery has the best stout I've had in over a decade (their other beers are also great but I'm a stout person). I'm very disappointed Man O' War allegedly won't be staying on the menu, but if this is the caliber this brewery can create I'll happily try anything they come up with!“

“The driveway in was bizarre but totally worth it. I got take out but i wish I had stayed because the patio on the docks was so inviting. The bisque and lobster roll were perfection and the service was excellent. I ordered online and it was easy to do and pick up.“

“What a gem! Really lovely experience and are shocked it wasn’t packed on a Sunday night. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but we will definitely be back. The atmosphere and service gave classy vibes. Tasty cocktails and appetizers. Loved the authenticity of flavors — had our first empanada! We ordered several things off the specials menu, and while my own steak wasn’t a particularly tender cut, there are certainly plenty of options to choose from. Locals are lucky to have this place! Just wish we had saved room for dessert…“

“This place speaks for itself upon walking in. Very friendly, very cozy and very helpful. My sister and I came in today and got two sandwiches each. We both got the bacon egg and cheese (one on multigrain and the other on a bagel). The blue and the East beats west with a soup on the side. We wanted to sample how the food is here. The guy at the counter was very sweet and the food took maybe 15 minutes to come out despite all tables being full. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good time to sit down and have a good meal with someone“

“The owner is an absolute doll! I asked her about her experiences while in Puerto Rico, the meals are most enjoyed, and the culture behind food. My fiancè got the chimi burrito and I got the Super Hot Dog. Both were so yummy!! His burrito was FILLED with beef and my hot dog was covered in delish meaty chili!! We also tried a fried goodie in the display; I wish we could give this place a 10/10. Wanna support authentic Puerto Rican foods at local business?? This is the PLACE! Thank you so much for all the yummy food. We will be back.“

“A nice little coffee house in the middle of downtown! The food is either quite good, or a bit off - I've had mixed results over the years. I recommend the breakfast burrito when they offer it here, though I do not suggest the homefires, they're bland. The coffee is good here.!Service here is good - the atmosphere is fantastic.Parking: Parking is limited - there's a very small lot here. You may have to street park.“
“Found this place by accident while waiting for a train, and what a jewel of a find it is. We got there right after it opened and it was quiet, but quickly a few regulars showed up and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The bartender was nice, funny, and made us feel as welcome as the regulars at the bar too. The decor and just overall vibe was stellar. I can only imagine how great it would be during peak hours with more people and live music. It is on the smaller side, so I can imagine it gets crowded, but that's half the charm of a hole-in-the-wall spot like this“

“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! To start, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is inviting and clean. The wonderful people that work and run things are amazing with our kiddos and the service has been stellar. I literally can’t name one thing that has gone wrong since we started making this our regular stop and I don’t expect there to be one in the future.“

“Not your regular restaurant. We stopped for brunch on our way to the Orient Point ferry. What a wonderful surprise it was. Everything served is way above the standard quality of regular and even fine restaurants, for a very moderate price. I wish we would have a place like this closer to home!“

“First visit for brunch. The country fried steak and gravy was delicious! The orange creamsicle mimosa was tasty. Didn't care for the loud DJ in the corner as I was there on a date and it was slightly difficult to hear our conversation.“
“An expensive but convenient option for getting from CT to LI (and back) instead of driving through NYC. Boats are looking a bit older these days and inside are not the cleanest, which is annoying for $70ish per ride, but the staff are polite and the trip isn’t bad. Recommended.“

“NL Eats made our night! Six teachers were rushing from an overpacked and understaffed Social where they didn’t even take our order for an hour… we put in an order for 4 potatoes and 2 mac and cheese- by the time we walked down bank st. Our food was packed and ready to go! We ate the most delicious loaded baked potatoes, taco potatoes, and Mac and cheese on the front steps of the library before going to see Bored Teachers at the Garde- thank you, NL Eats- you gained 6 costumers for life! ?“

“We regularly visit the place every summer, this year the food is top notch. The taste ,the quality can't beat it. We had the cauliflower fries, chicken and lamb gyro with curly fries. The fries are so fresh and crispy, the gyros are fresh, well seasoned making it mouth watering tasty. I don't know what changes they made this year, the food taste a different level ( best) than previous year. Tasty, fresh good quantity.“

“We were visiting Connecticut for the weekend. Found The Yolk Cafe close to the hotel, we walked in, received the most welcoming morning from the owner Jane and her daughter. We ordered some specials. Jane has the best personality, she was sending us samples and making jokes the whole time. We returned Sunday before heading home for another great breakfast! When leaving Jane gave us all a hug like we've known each other for years! Until we see each other again! We will be returning again in July!Thank you to the staff and Jane for making us feel so welcome! ?“

“I enjoy coming here for breakfast because it has that feel of home. The staff is friendly and jake makes sure to come out and speak to you personally. The only reason I put 3 stars for the food. And because the last 2 times I went there. They didn't have great but other than that, the food is awesome. Never had any bad pleads. I highly recommend that you give them a try“

“Salem Valley Farms has some of the best ice cream I've had in a while! I recently went and ordered the Pumpkin Pie Sundae, which was SO GOOD! Pumpkin ice cream topped with caramel sauce, graham cracker crumbs, whipped cream, and cinnamon. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. Quick, friendly service. They just have a window to order/pickup, with no indoor seating, but there are picnic tables on the side where you can sit. Overall a great ice cream spot!“

“I am from Florida and I have eaten seafood my whole life and this was the best fish I have ever had. The fish was light, flakey, and not salty at all like a lot of seafood places. It was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The fries were delicious and crisp, the chicken was so tender it melted in your mouth. The service was excellent as well. Moving to Boston soon and we take day trips to places, this is definitely a favorite and we will be back. Delicious!!!!“

“Great place and Biker Friendly! 10/10!My waitress was Rachel D. She was very friendly and was quick to get my order as well as get my order to me.I had the chicken and bacon quesadillas with some ranch dip… very good and very filling especially considering it’s technically an appetizer in of it self. Previously, I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was damn well made too. It’s fairly cheap as far as food in Groton goes so I would $100% recommend this place!Parking: Lots of places to park and it has a few spots specifically for Motorcycles in front too!“

“Cute little Shanty by the Sound. I really liked the ice cream. They have a soft serve machine that makes 24 ice cream flavors and you can add candy or mixtures in it like a Blizzard. The restaurant was a cute like shanty with outdoor sitting under a canopy. We ordered rhe lobster roll. The lobster roll meat wasn't the best but it's been a long time since my husband had the roll anywhere. It seemed a little chewy but it was my first time having a roll or possibly lobster. Cole slaw was decent. The bread was good. Fries were thinner than string fries but had a crispy taste.Cost wise the ice cream was a superb deal. Great price and a lot of ice cream and candy filling. Can't go wrong here for ice cream.Didn't know how expensive lobster was until this sandwich. The sandwich is priced by market for lobster .“

“I want to be fair, I complained in the past about the food and service. I stopped in last night for the fund raiser. I was not expecting any more than a good pizza, I was there for the museum. I always heard the owners were nice people, but never had the chance to meet anyone, last night I did , After having a conversation with Andy, he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, polite, respectful and really cares about the community.. I will definitely be back again and again !!!“
