The service was amazing, and the owners were lovely. I couldn't finish everything so the owner packed it up with some extra wasabi, ginger, and chopsticks like we were getting takeout. “My wife and I both ordered the Tuna & Salmon Spicy Mayo Poke bowl and we agreed that this was the best Poke bowl we’ve ever had. Ingredients was fresh, well dressed, just the right level of spice and overall delicious. We forgot to take a picture of it since we were too busy enjoying it but the presentation was also nice. Mangetsu staff was warm and attentive. We will be returning.“

Once you come in, your greeted with a staff member with candies and mints offered. Keep in mind that this is a family-owned business. It's a very lively atmosphere, yet busy. And I mean BUSY! Coming here on a Friday is like going to the Eras Tour. It is busy and almost everything is full. The wait is usually 10-30 minutes on average, but sometimes it could be longer. Once, I waited 2 hours for a table! You'd be lucky to get a table right away on Friday-Sunday. Although, it's for a reason. The food is drop-dead amazing! Beautiful presentation with it being fresh and delicious. My honest recommendations are the Rocky Hill Roll, Eel nigiri, and the fried oreo w/ vanilla bean ice cream. I truly recommend this place if your having a party or just a Friday night dinner. Truly amazing, deserves 5 stars!“

“I love their bento box. Especially the beef or chicken teriyaki bento box. It comes with delicious teriyaki meat with a bit of vegetables, a side of white rice, shumai, sushi (California roll) with a side of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, a side salad, and a bowl of miso soup. You get a little bit of everything, so you definitely can't go wrong with it!

The only downside was the waitress took a bit to take our order, and was pushing the “regular” portioned meals over the lunch portions which of course cost more. One thing I will say is the host, didn’t smile at all and even walked guests to a table talking on her cell phone. Didn’t help the server run food all while she was drowning either.
