The kids (15 year old and were eventually caught) got my vehicle, my wallet, all my work equipment, a brand new pair of Jordan sneakers I bought for my friend for his birthday. Ihad to cancel all of.my cards and had no cash and I walked i to this restaurant and told them what happened and I only did it because I was sooooooooohungry my stomach was starting to eat itself. And I walked into the restaurant and told them my situation and I had no money but they hooked me up with some.food for free. That's it. These people are beautiful people. And the food is just as Beautiful as the people. Prior to moving to this town my.uncle who lived here told me that he used to try as much as he could to leave extra tips because the children were always studying in the restaurant and my m uncle wanted to contribute to their learning . My Unc was that kind of guy. This Chinese food comes from beautiful hearts and thats my review.

“The people in there are nice. The place is clean but it's a little bit too much like if McDonald's was trying to be a Chinese restaurant for me. The food is okay and if I was on a road trip I would eat it again if it was this or like a Burger King or something but it's not a destination for me“

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. Plus errors with take out orders were the last straw. Fortune House is definitely worth the trip from Southbury to Southford! Highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Since we first discovered this restaurant about five years ago, it has become our absolute favourite buffet. There is always a great selection of seafood dishes. The hibachi station has lots of variety and the preparation is on point. The sushi station is very generous with new items often added. My other personal favourites are the spare ribs and the coconut shrimp. The service is attentive, pleasant and courteous and they maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times. The value of this buffet is amazing and would be difficult to match anywhere. This restaurant provides variety, freshness, cleanliness and great service.“

“I don't know what to say I wish there were more places available on the app itself but that's no fault for the app Yeah it's supposed to I use it a lot is no need to add photos or say anything It works like it's supposed to it never fails If I screw up and actually the last thing I placed wasn't delivery or it assumed I want it for the next day cuz it's not really close for the night cuz of Chinese restaurants open for another hour and 20 minutes you just call them and they'll just deliver it anyway it's fine but it wasn't something the next morning or whatever and again no fault in the app so I'm just saying stuff for no reason really“

“Excellent sesame chicken. You can order it with white meat. The bbq pork is awesome! So are chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce. Let's not forget the fried dumplings. It's a bit pricey but it's worth the quality over your average Chinese restaurant. A must go place if you live in the Oxford area.“

“After seeing a movie down the street, my family and I came to Oriental Gourmet for dinner. There was plenty of seating and the restaurant had a classic, retro vibe. We were impressed that they had so many different Asian cuisines to choose from! For our first visit we stuck primarily to Chinese food, but it’s good to know they have sushi too. Almost every dish was good, but my mom didn’t really love her Mongolian beef and said it had a weird grittiness to it. Our server was attentive and they refilled our waters often. Not a bad spot!“

“My happy place to go to. Even they are busy on the phone or waiting on customers the staff still great me in a very appreciate way. The family works hard everyday making the place a success. I recommend the lunch combons. Love the chicken and broccoli. My family is always happy with the amount of food we get and how hot the food is when it gets delivered to us. We get a free soda from the nice lady that works behind the counter. Have been going there for years.“
