“There was a reason why I was anticipating to go to Dōgon... It was too good!
I was excited to finally snag a reservation for myself and my significant other. Reservations are highly recommended if you want to avoid a long wait. When we arrived for our reservation, we received a warm welcome and we were escorted to a lounge area as our table wasn't ready. The lounge was intimate, plus there was a cocktail menu. We were able to start off with drinks first. We were here for about 15-20 minutes before being seated.

Once we arrived to our table, our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the entire menu in detail. We shared the cornbread, hoe crab and fried whitting sliders to start---chef's kiss. I then enjoyed the oxtail dish that came with a side of rice peas. This dish was so flavorful! Lastly, we finished off with the rum cake which had a perfect balance of sweet and savory. I loved my experience and can't wait to go back!“

“Got the chicken kebab sandwich, jollof, and palm wine. Kebab was really flavorful, juicy, with some chipotle sauce that was delicious. The jollof was good too, spicy and not too dry. Was not a fan of the palm wine but the more you know! Would definitely come back, I want to try the snapper“

“We did the tasting menu for my husband’s birthday and it was totally worth it! The food here is truly special. As someone who wasn’t familiar with Ghanaian cuisine or the Elmina region, I was excited to experience new flavors—and every dish had just the right level of warm, welcoming spice.

I had a hibiscus mocktail that was fantastic (hibiscus is featured throughout the menu, which I loved). Highlights for us included the lobster dumplings, eggplant, red red, fufu, and ribeye—everything was delicious. The red red was my personal favorite, so flavorful and unlike anything I’ve tried before.

The menu is extensive, so there’s definitely something for everyone. Can’t wait to come back and try more!“

The meat is so tender, the flavors are so good and the service is top tier. Thank you! I’m looking forward to the NYC opening.“

“I've been to SOST a few times over the last few months. I love it. The food is delicious and the staff are really top tier. They all have a great demeanor and offer a great environment. There is always something nice to enjoy at SOST, whether it be love music, a cafe vibe, or a community event.

Some friends and I went today for brunch. All though the menu was a bit limited, we all ordered 3 different things and we all enjoyed it. Our server was a great sport by listening to us ask why there weren't any breads or carbs on the menu and Saim was very accommodating when spoke with him as well. He gave us a full tour of the restaurant and it was just a great time right before the Brunch and Go Home event began.“

I ordered from Beyond Suya at their kiosk, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff was so nice, patient, and super communicative throughout the entire process. Even though it wasn’t a dine-in experience, they made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel like a valued customer.

The food was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really stood out, aside from the amazing service, is that they’re open late! If you’re looking for something tasty and satisfying to eat late at night, Beyond Suya is a perfect go-to. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Highly recommend!“
