“We had a great overall stay and really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The location was excellent—very convenient and within walking distance to many of the museums and main attractions, which made getting around with our family incredibly easy.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. That said, our room did feel a bit cramped for a family of four, and we found the lighting to be somewhat limited. The bed was also softer than we prefer, which made it a little less comfortable for us.

We did have an issue where some of our laundry was accidentally taken by housekeeping, likely mistaken for trash. While that was frustrating, the hotel staff was responsive and helpful in addressing the situation, which we appreciated.

On a positive note, the café was fantastic—both the food and drinks were excellent and something we looked forward to during our stay. We also really enjoyed meeting Garnet (“Mr. DC”), who was friendly, engaging, and added a special touch to our experience.

Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a very good stay and would consider returning, especially for the location and service.“

“I came here with some friends for a fun Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed my time! The vibes are great, the music was great, and the food was great too! I tried the beef skewers and the jollof rice. The service could be improved upon. We were left waiting for our waiter for very long periods of time and when my food came, I wasn’t given any silverware or napkins. Overall, I will definitely be back!“

Their attention to my celiac disease was exceptional throughout the evening, and the birthday touches were lovely. While the porterhouse did not initially meet expectations due to timing and cook, it was still delicious, and the way management handled the situation demonstrated a true commitment to guest experience.“

Upon informing the bartender, Josue Vasquez, about my allergy, he immediately reassured me and took detailed notes to communicate with the chef, Marcel Che, and Sous Chef, James Jones. What really impressed me was their proactive approach: Chef Che personally came out to discuss my dietary restrictions and preferences. On hand, there was not such an enhancement for my dish so they crafted a special dipping sauce on the spot, ensuring it was free from any allergens and tailored to my taste.

The attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made the entire dining experience incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The food was delicious, and knowing that it was prepared with such care made it even more enjoyable. “We came by to hike at Rock Creek without doing any research on where to eat after. That was a mistake, as we were hungry and needed good options fast. It was either this Greek place or the Thai place across the road. We eat Thai all the time, so the unanimous decision was this Greek!

The waiter and all the staff were very friendly. The place and decoration themselves are a little odd. However, it was clean. The highlight is the taste of the food. All the dishes we ordered were spot on. I cannot remember their names, but there was nothing bad I could recall. If I'm ever in the area, I'd come again.“
