“Newtown is a historic, colonial town, and is very quaint and charming. Within, the Mercury Cafe is a gym with delicious comfort food and great coffee. While it’s vegetarian, many of the dishes can be prepared vegan. The BBQ pulled oats sandwich, pastrami panini, grilled cheese and tomato soup were all so good and comforting. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !“

“Ole Tapas has come to our event for two years in a row and they are definitely a favorite. The food is always prepared to perfection and the staff is always so kind and professional. I personally always recommend the street tacos. We are so grateful for the hard workers over at Ole Tapas.“

“I Was in town for a Private Event, it was held at Keem's, Christian was manager that evening. My husband and I had a wonderful time, EVERYTHING was amazing, we have been talking about the food all the way back to Virginia! Thank you to the Entire Staff for all your efforts! “We really enjoy the Porkette with Broccoli Rabe, long hots, and sharp provolone; it’s absolutely delicious. My husband tried the chicken parm sandwich this time, and it was also fantastic. If we lived nearby, this would be a regular spot for us. I highly recommend it!“

“This was my first time eating at Cava and the person who made my order Yoselin did an amazing job! She gave me exactly what i wanted and was so polite to me. Her service at Cava was 10/10! She even offered to help me choose something to get since it was my first time and her patience with me was nice of her as I didn’t know what to get at first. The food was also a 10/10, the chicken was really tasty and so were the fresh pita chips that i got. Cava is going to be now my first choice when it comes to eating out Thanks to Yoselin!“

“We recently hosted a bridal shower at Bahama Breeze in Newark, DE, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our servers, Shannon and Emma, were incredibly attentive and resourceful—every dish for our group of nearly 20 guests was perfectly prepared and served without delay.
A very special thanks to General Manager, Mike Links, who went above and beyond to accommodate last-minute arrangements and ensure the bride’s day was perfect. He personally checked in with us, made everything seamless, and even took a beautiful group photo of our entire party—such a thoughtful touch that meant so much.
Thanks to Mike, Shannon, Emma, and the entire Bahama Breeze team, the event was stress-free, joyful, and truly unforgettable. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend this location for any special occasion!“

“I turned into a windmill. They sat me
next to a door that was constantly being opened to the outside world and it blasted cold air at me.
They also tried to charge me $29.99 for this “lobster” roll (and I use that term loosely). You can’t in good conscience tell me that this coleslaw concoction is more than 5% lobster. It’s potato chips and coleslaw on a tiny hot dog bread.
The burgers are solid.“

And we were similarly impressed with the drink menu; the ones we tried were, like the menu items, creative, thoughtful and well-balanced. “We only get a chance to come here on the weekends there is normally a wait but it's never more than 20 min. The staff is always super friendly and nice, and very knowledgeable about the menu. It is a VAST menu so it might take a while to decide what you want but we have tried a bunch of things and nothing has been short of wonderful. Price is on par for what you get rolls are a good size at an average price with quality ingredients. Highly recommend the soup dumplings! We always try to get something new but keep getting those dumplings!
Parking: It's near the food court in the mall so parking can be challenging but it is free
Kid-friendliness: We have taken out 2 year old every time we have been here we just get her a side of rice and some popcorn chicken, staff is very accommodating to kids and they have kids cup and high chairs
Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor location and is technically on the outside of the mall so easy access from the street“

“I wanted to eat at a local diner that has a counter. I found this place by using Google maps and searched for diner near me. Very charming local restaurant. For the first time I had Scrapple. Great service and atmosphere. I chatted with the locals and explained my trip to Wilmington. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I recommend giving them a try.“
