“What started out to be a business call, ended up being an unbelievable experience behind the curtains. Joanne was so nice to show my coworker and I how she does things in the kitchen and it sure did make our mouths water. Everything she does is unique and shows how much time and effort she puts into her food. It sure did smell like it, and fortunately we were lucky enough to catch her right as she took a roast out of the oven. After letting us try that she made the best chicken cutlet Sandwich I've ever had. It had lots of yummy stuff on it included homemade sauce and marinated chicken cutlets. I mentioned to her on the phone after that my friend and I just quietly ate our food because it was too good to take a break to talk, we both stared at each other after because we knew we just had the best sandwich on the east coast. “I ordered food from Food For Thought for my annual Christmas Eve dinner. I ordered turkey, mashed potatoes, string beans, and rice. Everything was delicious. I must say the mashed potatoes were my fave. Soooo good!! Beautiful presentation. Well seasoned. Great portions. Reasonably priced. I was 100% satisfied and all of my holiday guests were too. Everyone commented on how tasty everything was. I would definitely recommend Food For Thought. Everyone I interacted with was very courteous and professional. Already looking forward to when I can utilize them for another event.“

“We used Sherm's for a work event, and the food was amazing. I have been searching for years for the perfect potato salad and there it was with my turkey sandwich. The delivery driver was early and set up before the time I needed him. He was very friendly. I saved some water for my son, and he said it was the best. I had to save some for school. “A great choice for a Christing Party at my house .While we were all at the mass and the baptism (2hr) They came and set up a complete buffet for 25. My dining room table looked amazing. I walked into my amazing smelling house ( like it smells when I cook all day) and did nothing but eat and talk to my guests. That is priceless. The veal parm was an excellent choice as was the penne with rosa sauce. I got many compliments on the food. Bread was delicious. I will do this again. Maybe my Thanksgiving dinner?? Ha no Don't think I can get away with that one.... but definitely my next eagles party!!.“

“I recently had my wedding hosted at Lia's Catering/ Ballrooms at Boothwyn and it was the best decision we ever made!! Everything went so smoothly! We had our ceremony in their lounge room, and it fit our huge wedding guestlist so well! It was so beautiful in the ceremony room - we did an arch from Bonnie's Wonder Garden! Then we had cocktail hour in the Sapphire room - which was just outside the lounge room, so everybody loved being able to get to each room so fast! Then we had our reception in the Main Ballroom - all in the same building! Perfect for a winter wedding. Everything was so beautiful!! We were so appreciative by how nice, kind, patient the staff all are. We had a planner that took care of all of the details. Coordinating our wishes went so easily! I cannot recommend Lia's enough for hosting a wedding. Absolutely stunning - and for a much better price than overpriced venues in the area!“

Great service, amazing food, and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted.As you walk in, it can be a little disorienting with so much going on but as you begin to take it in you see how important the local hero’s are. These guys care about the men and women who serve our country. The staff greeted me warmly and when they discovered it was my first time they spent time walking me through the whole menu and explaining the style of food. A gentleman gave me a coupon for a free sandwich as a gift for my first time.I ordered the pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese. Amazing. Man did it hit! They have lemonade and sweet tea, but I mixed it half and half and my gosh. The food was literally some of the best I had. I used the mission belle and smokehouse sauce. They offer 6 hot sauces on the table. Lisa was cleaning and serving the table, she helped me so much, was very attentive, and cleaned up the table for us. I was taken back.Lisa then offered me a free dessert as a first time visitor. I’ll truly never forget the service and food and can’t wait to bring my family back.I recommend this place wholeheartedly. I had the best time and it was money well spent. The staff is responsive and well trained and so welcoming. Love their speciality burgers, including cheddar, mushroom, etc. Good premade sides like their stuffed baked potato can feed two people. They also carry true fryer chickens rather than those gigantic chicken pieces. Marinated London broil and Greek marinated chicken are just a few of their meal options.“

“It's been about two years that we've been purchasing meats (and much more) from the Meat House. I have never thought to express my praise through a much deserved review. The 4.7 average seems a little low to me (LOL). Our own personal experiences have been 5-star each and every time...even when I call on the phone. Their customer service is consistently exemplary, up to, and including, the owner when he's there. He can relay his experience with A5 wagyu, in Japan no less, to you. I've never been told no to any request. They are one of the true old school butcher shops of yesteryear, prioritizing customers' wants and needs. A varied, wide selection of quality meats and gourmet, yes, gourmet products. Tons of gourmet sauces and dressings, tons of rubs and spices for BBQing and other forms of cooking, wood pellets for grilling, exquisite in-house deli turkey, A5 Japanese wagyu steaks, bison, venison, wild boar, gator sausages, duck, ostrich, rabbit...need I say more? A couple of the standouts to me thus far have been their pre-rubbed St. Louis ribs and twice baked potatoes. But the pièce de résistance has been the marinated Brazilian steak tips!! My goodness! Those jawns was crazy (in my north Philly dialect and verbiage)!!! See, we love and appreciate quality food and customer service, since I work in food service, and am a cashier at my evening job. This place will have you excited and returning time and time again. Trust me/us.“

“It's not very often I go to the courthouse cafe but when I do Lorrie behind the counter is the nicest person. She probably doesn't realize how she can make people's day with her attitude considering not many people want to be at court anyway. The food and prices are great as well.“

“We used Plum Catering for my daughter's wedding and they delivered, big- time! The food was amazing and delicious, the presentation wonderful and the servers were so friendly. We enjoyed delicious apps, served creatively. Especially delicious was their salmon, sage ravioli and bacon- wrapped dates-- yummy! And everyone loved their variation on grilled cheese with tomato soup, perfect for a fall event. Highly recommend for special occasion catering that won't break the bank.“
