“We have been going to OC every July for 7+ days for decades & happened upon The Lobster Shanty last year. We know most of the great dining spots in OC but we were so happy to have found this place!! Great food & the Quahog & Scallop Chowdah is absolutely delicious!! We came from the ferry straight to The Lobster Shanty! Our waiter Vinny was the best!! Such a nice young guy, very attentive, quick, & super helpful with our questions about crabbing! He is the best! We’ll be back during our stay so I can have your awesome Lobster Roll 😋(& I can’t pass on that Chowdah!) ~The Murphy’s ~ Greenwood Lake, NY“

“We dined at One Coastal over the weekend. We had four people in our party and everyone ordered a different item on the menu. Food was fantastic! I enjoyed a simple pasta dish that was the most delish meal I’ve had in years. I shared with everyone at the table and everyone loved it. My husband had the pork chop and reported that it was delicious. My daughter had the scallops and said they were perfect. Her boyfriend had the flank steak and it looked terrific. But my pasta was PERFECTION!“

“It's always a challenge going out for a bite to eat in OC in the off season as you never know what you are going to get. After reading reviews and looking at menus, I decided to check out Liquid Assets and what a great decision that turned out to be. Walking in alone, I was quickly greeted by Kyle and Joe at the bar and directed to an open seat at the bar. After a brief run down of the drink offerings, I asked for a beer and they recommended a local brew that did not disappoint. Before I had a chance to look at the menu, Kyle brought over a specials menu which was both amazing and overwhelming, and this was just the special menu, as the regular menu pretty much covered every palette imaginable. Interested in the 2 fish options, I asked Kyle for his recommendation and without hesitation, he suggested the Pan Seared Monkfish with which I went and He was not wrong. It came out beautifully presented and was probably the best fish dish I've experienced. Alrhough the fish was cooked perfectly, the star of the dish was how it was presented and everything else it was served with. I went out with an open mind and I was wowed by the experience. Rare do you find stellar staff and 5 star meals but on April 7th, 2025, I did in a town full of less than stellar options. “Rhino Chasers, Ahi Guac, Vermicious Knid pizza. Would I recommend. Absolutely. So good. The portions are generous. We finished the fries and gauc, and could only down one slice of pizza. So full. And the happy hour Sangria was wonderful as well. Glad I finally got to try this place. Go early for immediate seating.“

“My husband and I had a great breakfast experience, just a few minutes ago!! Great food - not a bunch of hoity-toity “foodie” fare - just simple dishes, sides, and combos that are prepared perfectly. Sahara Cafe is, now, on our “must visit” list! Staff is very friendly and super efficient. The cafe is homey and traditional, reminiscent of restaurants from my youth - that great diner feeling. Let’s talk about that giant cup o’ Joe… delicious, hot, and the size of a “FRIENDS” cup!! What?! Not having to wait for multiple refills?! That’s right. Not that you’d have to wait because their servers are very attentive and accommodating. Five stars, for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“On Monday, August 4th, we had a party of 18 for light fare dining and drinks. Our server, Nikki, was exceptional. Professional, accommodating, super nice and was so efficient. Our food was delivered timely and everyone was pleased with the quality and temperature of the menu items ordered. Not an easy task for such a large party and on a very busy night. Drinks orders were also served timely and were delicious. Thank you Thomas, Nikki and staff for a wonderful evening.“

“We initially went to Lazy Lizard for lunch but we sat for at least 20 minutes and no server came so we left and went to Buxy’s. It was an excellent experience. The waitress was fantastic (I didn’t catch her name but she had red hair). She was attentive and was so great with our two young kids. The food and drinks were excellent. The added 20 percent was a bit confusing but the food was delicious, the staff was amazing and it was a great experience for sure. “We had a great lunch today! Food was absolutely delicious. Cheese steak and the sausage with peppers and onions hit the spot. The rolls they use were perfectly toasted and chewy at the same time. Plus the lady who runs the place makes it our new go to spot! Can't wait to try the pretzels and breakfast.“

“This place had some excellent burgers and the price was right. The wall murals surrounding the bar were top notch and interesting. Over 100 celebrities are painted on the walls. It made for an interesting and casual experience. This place sits atop the Brass Balls cafe and there is street access and boardwalk access. Parking is free as long as you are dining at either venue.“

As non-residents you have to find your own parking spot then you can pay at the pool to get in which gets you pool and bathroom and beach access with a waitress at the pool or the bar/restaurant super close. Alcohol drinks are available at poolside as well. Incredible service by Rachel our server. Really quite a lovely experience overall. You can’t see the ocean from the pool due to the dunes, but you can see the ocean from the bar, and it’s a short walk from the pool to the ocean.“

“Our go-to when in town!! seated quickly. Coffee came quickly and we were not rushed to order. We had a cheese Danish ($3.99) to start. Then "eye opener" w/ meat (2 eggs over, home fries, and a ton of bacon!) $14.99. I had the creamed chip beef w/ home fries $14.99. Both servings of home fries and of bacon were very generous!! Dryden, our server, checked on us regularly and kept our coffee hot and full. Food came fast, hot and well presented. Out total bill, before tax and tip was $40.94 for to full tummies!!!! We took a carry-out box with a muffin, home fries and bacon home!“
