“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. If you are in the Newark area and would like some tasty and quick diner food, go there & ask for Alicia <3 Thanks Alicia will be there again real soon !”

“We stop in once a week. Sometimes we eat there and sometimes we call and pick up. The atmosphere is fabulous. If we ever do have to wait for our food, it’s totally worth it. If my husband and I are together we sit and have wine while we wait. They are all very friendly! If we get take out, we always get extra so we can have leftovers, which are always delicious. We reheat the pizza in the toaster oven, it’s amazing. We also love the desserts there! It’s just a great spot and we love it! I’ve never once been disappointed with any of their service or food.”

“We decided to go to dinner at Firebirds. I had been once and was not impressed; however my husband had never been there. I have to say the food was good. Cooked exactly the way we wanted. The only draw back we had is the portions of food that you receive for the price that you pay. We felt like we were robbed. We don’t over eat so when I say we had small portions, we really had small portions. The dessert was even small portions for the price that you’re required to pay. The five very thin layers of lemon cake were good but the slice was very thin for $10.25. Out bill was $76.30 for two and I would have no problem if we had an appetizer and alcoholic drinks but there was none of that because we don’t drink. We each had a soda because the lemonade was too tart. The server was very pleasant and on time with everything. We tipped her well as we should have. Not sure I can return there. A little more light would be appreciated if I did return.”

Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.”

Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. The Impossible Sloppy for those who need a vegan option also got a thumbs up. The food comes out hot hot! No one complained! I will be back the next time I am in Delaware.”

“I’m not usually hanging out in the area, but I needed to get my car windshield replaced yesterday and had to run a long zoom meeting afterwards. So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”

“Hot, Fresh, Quality Ingredients, Excellent Spice Blends I don't like winter (okay, where's he going with this?), so I need to light a fire in the fireplace as well as inside myself. Solution? Tikka Masala delivered via Doordash brings us delicious flavourful Indian food that I enjoy medium or spicy (there's that fire!). Both the Chicken Chettinadu and Tikka both are whole meat chunks of chicken, amen, with comforting seasoning to boot. A little of each as pictured and I have plenty for a second meal. Basmati rice, naan and the circle on the plate is complete. Update: Masala Dosa is heavenly! Perfect dish. A blessing to have fantastic Indian food at our beckoning call. Nicely done & thank you!”

“I’ve been going here for about two years now and this is my of my favorite restaurants in the area. The Baja Shrimp tacos have this amazing sauce that makes the meal so so good. And the burros have such a good sauce too. I also love their fries, they’re so unique with them being so thin. The service here is also great. You get sat quickly, your server comes over fast, and your food comes out fast. The other night I had this server Dana who was so sweet and we had a nice conversation. It was great because I was dining alone so I was happy to have someone to talk to. And she recommended the pastelitos and they were delicious. Highly recommend!!!”

Partly my fault to realize this.....but their fault too...this is the 2nd time that happened to me at pick up.. I think maybe a bell would work at the front desk to get someone's attention.i even stood at the bar for 5 minutes but no one came out.for awhile.. all in all I will probably return here be a use thw food I've had has been delicious each time....I recommend the shrimp quesidilas and I love their rice. However I think that their customer service really needs attention. They gave me a menu. I ordered pick up and they said 15 to 20 minutes....once arriving to pick up I waited about 15 to 20 minutes for someone e to come to the front to get the food.”

“I stopped by Raising Cane's yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how simple, yet satisfying the experience was. The menu is straightforward, focusing mainly on chicken fingers, which were incredibly crispy and tender. The Cane’s sauce definitely lives up to the hype—tangy with just the right amount of kick. Even the crinkle-cut fries were hot and perfectly seasoned.

The staff were friendly and kept the place clean, which made dining in a nice experience. My only critique would be that the options are a bit limited, so if you’re looking for variety, you won’t find much beyond the core items. But if you’re craving consistently good chicken fingers, it’s hard to go wrong here.”
