“It was our first time and the food was amazing!! Lobster bisque was unbelievable as were the sausage egg rolls for appetizers. We had gnocchi with steaks tips and prosciutto sachetti which we wound up splitting because we loved both. Canolli and rum cake were outstanding as well. We also ordered sausage eggrolls and lobster bisque to go to have for football Sunday. Service was impeccable. 100% recommend. Will definitely be going more often.“

“Italian kitchen is a great one stop shop for all your catering orders. I showed up to pick up the sandwiches for our church lunch and I had put the wrong date on the order!!! They were able to accommodate me and worked like crazy to get it done. The cake I ordered was superb!!! If it had not been for the kindness of this store today, I don’t know what I would have done. “We visited last night. We were greeted right away. The service was so good. I had Shells Aurora. Simply amazing. Pasta and chicken was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend didn't see chicken marsala on the menu. only chicken parmesan.He asked and they made him the chicken marsala. So good too. We ordered wine. I had the Cabernet and he had the Pino Noir .Both wines were rich and savory. Very tasty. The floor manager even came up to make sure we were happy. That was very nice. we received the check and the server boxed up our food for us. The check really was not expensive. I paid and gave a 25% tip. I normally don't care either way with itailian resteraunts but this place was so nice. Rustic and warm atmosphere, pleasant staff, and amazing food. Will visit again for sure.“

“Very clean and very friendly. The owner is a really nice guy, he checked up on my son and I and you can tell that he loves what he does very passionate about his food. The cheesesteaks are really good will not disappoint. The sandwich is filled just right so you can eat it and not wear it. The chicken parm sandwich my son tore it up and said it was one of the best ones he has had. French fries are the way they are supposed to be not seasoned or curly just plain great fries. Buffalo wings damn good size not from a baby chicken full grown bird, got the mild sauce and it had a good flavor. Now the pizza! Great crust, thin on the deck and holds really well no saggy slice. True mozzarella not mixed with Provalone you will be able to tell when you taste it, the sauce on the pizza is perfect not sweet or to thick just right. Planning on going back to try more food. Very good menu to choose from and I can imagine it won't disappoint either. This family that runs this place I believe cares about quality to customers, good people, good food what else can you ask for? Next time I'll actually take pics of the food lost track after I bit into the cheesesteak.“

“First and foremost yes it’s inside of what seems to be a dieing mall. But to get to the point there is basically more food spots in the mall then actual interesting stores in my opinion so I went there to eat because I hadn’t had food yet. With that being said I kept walking almost to the end of the mall by where sears was and there it was. I have to say the place is great from service to food everything was amazing! If I was more local I would definitely stop in often. Our server was super friendly and outgoing she had no issue getting us anything that was needed she even took a soup back that I didn’t like without any hesitation or attitude that most other places would not do. The food was great the place was clean bar options were great like I said I have not 1 complaint . Picture was from the complimentary bread they give , and a special of the lobster/crab and shrimp ravioli . We also got the chicken parm sandwich so cheesy and the special steak which was pretty loaded! Crinkle cut fries with cheese were also great! Unfortunately didn’t take pics of the other stuff but if you like Italian food do not hesistate to stop by!!!“

I went with the takeout although the dine-in looks like a chill Italian restaurant to bring your grandparents.“

“Tony's is a local Italian restaurant in Newark along Chestnut Hill Road (DE 4) in a shopping plaza anchored by the local Shoprite. The dining area is basic, mostly what you'd expect from a local restaurant. However, the decor could use a little bit of an update and then it'd be just right.
The menu features what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant in the orbit of Philadelphia - pizzas, pastas, strombolis, etc. and have a great variety of different pizzas. For my meal, I went with a vegetarian pizza (spinach, tomato and ricotta cheese) and an order of garlic bread. The pizza itself was pretty tasty and the ricotta made a good contrast to the mozzarella on the pie itself and the vegetables were generally nice and fresh. The crust was also pretty decent as it could hold the slice and had just enough crisp for a good thin-crust pizza. The miss for me was the garlic bread. I don't know if it was the preparation for my particular order, but my bread had some minced garlic topping the butter on the bread rather than well-dispersed in the butter. I love garlic but trying to eat those pieces of minced garlic wasn't for me as it was bitter. I would like to see them better incorporate the garlic into the bread as that might help the read out. The garlic aside, the bread was nicely baked and had the butter and garlic been better spread I would have really enjoyed it.
The service was decent as well. I didn't have to wait too long for a refill and the server made sure I was take care of at my table.
Overall, it's a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant for those local to Newark and you'll at least get an enjoyable meal if you visit here.“

“We have loved enjoying the delicious food at Cafe Valentina. We have been coming here for more 15 years. We feel like we are dining at one of the finest restaurants in Italy. We were missing Fortuna and Giuseppe for the past six months but finally tonight we had the pleasure to see them at the restaurant. Everyone should come here and enjoy their delicious food. It is real Italian food and they have good prices.“
