“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “TY for accommodating our party of 18 on a Saturday… Your fried calamari was so yummy, the flight of soup was a brilliant idea for someone who’s undecisive to be able to sample 3 different cups, my crab cake was so amazing - I’m drooling just thinking about the jumbo lumps of crab chunks!!! By the way hubby & I noticed the American Psycho decors right away as we’re huge fans of the book & movie. Last but def not least, the service was great even though there were 18 of us with some loud kiddos.”

“Had a lovely family dinner for four adults. sharing 4 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts. Everything was excellent. Standout starters were the apple and kohlrabi salad and the duck leg. We also really liked the braised short rib entree. Lauren was an outstanding server and coached us well in our selections.”

“The bartenders there serve people that are obviously visibly drunk and falling off their stools! When I brought it up to the bartender, she said I misread the situation and it was none of my business! So, I went to the manager and she repeated pretty much the same statement like it was scripted because it continuously happens! I wonder if the owners are aware of these actions because honestly the bartender and manager should be fired for those kind of attitudes as it's illegal to serve visibly impaired patrons at a bar! Sad! 🤔😔 I actually have to add, it's a shame that the staff isn't the best, because the concept is great, the events are fun and our group which usually numbers 10 to 15 people enjoy hanging out there for the events and the food which is reasonable and pretty good! 💝😎👍”

We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!”

“Been coming to this place ever since they’ve opened up. They have the best banh mi I’ve had since I moved closer to Delaware. If you love some good cracking pork in your banh mi. You should look into the fire cracker banh mi cause it’s amazing. My experience with the staff has always been amazing since they’re all are so kind and friendly.”

“Wow! What a great place! Could not have asked for a better or more satisfying experience. Stopped by driving from NYC to MD on a Sunday and we hit the jackpot. No line. No wait. Got to taste before we selected from a bajillion different tasty flavors & options (soft serve, gelato, concretes, icees...etc). The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A new must stop wherever we are in the area!!!
