“Great ice cream, fun atmosphere, even has live music on occasion. It’s pet friendly and our dog loves visiting and being able to go check out the cows when they are out.
Parking: Parking is on gravel and lawn areas. It does get busy especially in the summer.
Kid-friendliness: Kids love ice cream. There’s a large lawn that the kids can run around in while you spend time here.“

“Wow! What a great place! Could not have asked for a better or more satisfying experience. Stopped by driving from NYC to MD on a Sunday and we hit the jackpot. No line. No wait. Got to taste before we selected from a bajillion different tasty flavors & options (soft serve, gelato, concretes, icees...etc). The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A new must stop wherever we are in the area!!!

“Delightful premises and delicious ice cream. OMG, the Vanilla Salted Caramel was to die for. The waffle cone was so crunchy and flavorful. Loved the setting with benches and tables scattered under a giant beautiful tree and cows on the hillside. Some crazy flavor options too... such as, Pumpkin Mushroom and Motor Oil! Wish I could have tried them all.“

“Great ice cream… many years ago there was a lot of fruit in their ice cream: no longer bits of tasty fruit ?. But still enjoyable. Their frozen bars are $2 and still has fruit in it. You are not wasting your money with this treat. There is also another ice cream place at farmers market. Enjoy! ?“

“My wife loves a vanilla double malted milk shake once in a while (or if possible everyday). We now have new go to place to get one or two of these. Sweet Lucy's makes the best around, and they have some good competition. I did not get the name of the young lady who made this for us yesterday, but Meg Hurst knows. Please tell her it was awesome and my wife loved it. It was good to see and talk to you Meg! Glad things are going so well for you and Dan with all of your businesses! We will be back for more! (fyi, I don't know why homemade pies was tagged).“

“Ironically, I just read another review that echoed my own frustration at this Rita’s. A few weeks ago, I brought my daughter’s softball team for a postgame treat and was shocked to learn that an option to tip with a credit card doesn’t exist. Glad to know I’m not the only person who thinks this is a bad idea. After receiving such great service, I was embarrassed when I couldn’t leave a tip and had to apologize to the nice girl who gave us such great service. C’mon Rita’s get with the program!“

“Great service and delicious treats! We tried a little bit of everything. The ice cream was tasty, the gelato was amazing, and the crepe had a fantastic flavor and texture. The hot chocolate paired nicely with all of it as well. Overall, it was well worth the stop, and we would come back again.“
“On a recent visit to see Fort Delaware State Park, I stopped at the Ice Cream Parlor for a nice afternoon ice cream break and I sure am glad I did. They have a great variety of ice cream and the employee was very courteous. I'm sure glad I went there and would go there again next time I am there.“

“Delicious! Very unique flavors (told they were more traditional Mexican flavors) as well as the usual go-to's. The staff are super friendly, took the time to explain the flavors and give samples!! The ice cream was creamy and refreshing. 10/10, definitely going back. We had Fresa con queso, tequila, mamey and a Mexican raspberry torte mix (sorry couldn't remember the name for the last one). All delicious and the portions were very generous.“

“I grew up in Delaware and there hasn’t been a place like this until Boro Cafe came. It’s my favorite cafe now when I visit home. The vibe is a mix of French, urban, and antique. It’s clean, quiet, and spacious. Pastries and gelato are the way to go. Coffee is pretty good, but not as good as Brew Ha Ha. The food on the menu is so-so. Perfect spot though to meet up with a friend, have an interview, or just enjoy some quiet time with a book.“
