“We visited last night. We were greeted right away. The service was so good. I had Shells Aurora. Simply amazing. Pasta and chicken was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend didn't see chicken marsala on the menu. only chicken parmesan.He asked and they made him the chicken marsala. So good too. We ordered wine. I had the Cabernet and he had the Pino Noir .Both wines were rich and savory. Very tasty. The floor manager even came up to make sure we were happy. That was very nice. we received the check and the server boxed up our food for us. The check really was not expensive. I paid and gave a 25% tip. As it turns out, the restaurant gave the wrong order to the delivery service, and couldn't get ahold of the driver.\n\nThey called me right after the driver left to let me know that there was an issue and they were trying to get ahold of him, and then they called again a couple minutes later to say that they couldn't reach him.\n\nThey told me I could keep the incorrect order where it arrived, and also the manager headed over to deliver the correct order herself (arriving just moments after the original driver).\n\nI was very impressed with the customer service, especially considering we had actually ordered via a third party service.\n\nBest pizza around. “Tony's is a local Italian restaurant in Newark along Chestnut Hill Road (DE 4) in a shopping plaza anchored by the local Shoprite. The dining area is basic, mostly what you'd expect from a local restaurant. However, the decor could use a little bit of an update and then it'd be just right.
The menu features what you'd expect from an Italian restaurant in the orbit of Philadelphia - pizzas, pastas, strombolis, etc. and have a great variety of different pizzas. For my meal, I went with a vegetarian pizza (spinach, tomato and ricotta cheese) and an order of garlic bread. The pizza itself was pretty tasty and the ricotta made a good contrast to the mozzarella on the pie itself and the vegetables were generally nice and fresh. The crust was also pretty decent as it could hold the slice and had just enough crisp for a good thin-crust pizza. The miss for me was the garlic bread. I don't know if it was the preparation for my particular order, but my bread had some minced garlic topping the butter on the bread rather than well-dispersed in the butter. I love garlic but trying to eat those pieces of minced garlic wasn't for me as it was bitter. I would like to see them better incorporate the garlic into the bread as that might help the read out. The garlic aside, the bread was nicely baked and had the butter and garlic been better spread I would have really enjoyed it.
The service was decent as well. I didn't have to wait too long for a refill and the server made sure I was take care of at my table.
Overall, it's a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant for those local to Newark and you'll at least get an enjoyable meal if you visit here.“

“Update: We have lived here nearly a year and this is still our go-to place. My oldest daughter is now vegan and they custom make her vegan breadsticks. Love these guys! We order from here usually once per week. Their plain pizza is classic. I think they put cinnamon in their crust—there is something special. It’s the only pizza that all of my kids like. Win! Oh, and the guy that answers the phone and does the register is always so nice! Highly recommend!“

“We order from here entirely too often. It’s fast, hot, reliable, good-tasting food, and the portions are generous. We’ve ordered a bunch of types of sandwiches, the chicken tenders, eggplant parm, cheesesteaks, and it always gets here with integrity - not cold or mushy or lukewarm. The corn nuggets are one of the best items on the menu.
The most impressive thing is that after ordering a million times, not once have I ever received a soggy cannoli, not even a soft shell. They’re always crispy. I’ve seen some people complain about them and honestly, I think they’re good, I always get one, and they’re much better than the alternative, which is no cannoli. Tiramisu is also good and rich, but I always go back to the cannoli.“

“Yatz's is the BEST. Definitely in the top 3 of Delaware. The Ladies who create those delicious mouth watering subs are tremendously nice and very kind. The best part for me are the Tomatoes that Yatz's uses. I do not know where they get it from but when its laid on that turkey sub with a bag of chips and a cold one from their great juice selection....food ambiance at its finest.
