“You dont come to Joes for atmosphere and they dont serve food. But drinks are cheap, TV screens are plentiful, the crowd is happy ranging to rowdy on late weekend nights, and the pizza/salad place next door is good. I buy a salad (try the Mediteranean -has good chicken) and sometimes a slice, and it’s a great place to catch the Phils or Birds. Thumbs up! Nice staff.”
“We were so happy to be able to enjoy the great food and weather! We had a fabulous Waldorf salad, and the Maryland crab soup was a meal all by itself; the classic crab cake was delicious. We enjoyed eating outside and our server was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to return.”
“I stopped in for Saturday afternoon brunch, which is an odd concept for me. I have been to this location through a bunch of owners, going back to 1992. The current people have it set up well, very clean and well lit. I got the Classic Benedict and a side of eggs. The Benedict part was great, with the caveat that the English muffins were difficult to cut. It came with homefries that had more spice than I like, but only a tiny bit. The side of eggs was served sunny side up, though I had ordered over medium. They were still good. I spoke with the bartender, who was also the one who took the order at the table, and it sounded like an honest mistake from not hearing me correctly. I had a few mimosas and belinis, added another standalone side of bacon and an order of fried Oreos. The drinks were perfect. The bacon was crispy. The fried Oreos had ice cream on them and some version of whipped cream. Everything turned out great. The brunch prices were very good, too. So, if you get the chance to stop in for a brunch, try it out.Parking: There are parking spaces all around the place.Wheelchair accessibility: I don't know whether there is still a wheelchair accessible entrance in the back of the upper section, but there is a curb cut and ramp by each front door. The lower section has the better wheelchair accessible bathroom. The transition from upper section to lower is a set of stairs, so anybody trying to go from one section to the other in a wheelchair pretty much has to go out one front door and come back in through the other front door.”
“This place was recommended to me by some friends who live in Wilmington. I was looking for somewhere to watch NFL games on a Sunday afternoon, and this is walking distance from the SureStay America hotel, where I was staying. I got there around 12:30, and about half of the dozen or so bar seats were taken. There were several tables, but only 2 were occupied. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a Hazy Bones IPA. Pretty good. I also had an Octoberfest beer later on. I noticed 2 coolers full of craft beer selections, in both bottles and cans. The bartender was on the phone for a while with Directv because he was having issues with the Sunday Ticket. It never got resolved, but he said it should be fixed by the following week. They still showed 4 different games. The majority of the customers were Eagles fans, but the bartender was nice enough to put one of the many Tvs on the Pittsburgh/Buffalo game when I told him I'm a Steelers fan. I was grateful he was willing to do that. When my friends arrived, we grabbed a table and watched the game from there. It was a lively atmosphere with lots of fans cheering on their team. My friends complained that the restroom was cold, but I didn't notice. My only complaint is they don't serve food, however I saw a few people bring food they bought elsewhere inside. Kind of cool that they allow that. I saw a jukebox near the restrooms, but because everyone was there for football, no one was playing it. It was a fun afternoon, and despite the fact that some people were rooting for opposing teams, there were no incidents. I enjoyed my time there and if I'm ever back in Delaware, I'd like to return.”
“Home chef in Wilmington by way of Philly, so maybe my food expectations are off, but consistently almost every place I order food from in Wilmington tastes like sh*t, but not this. Porcetta sandwich slams. Wings aren’t nasty soggy, they’re cooked right. Bravo!”
