We got the red beans and rice, gumbo and tomato soup and we need to try the rest of the menu! My husband and I just got back from New Orleans and my husband was sad because he loved the food so I googled and found this place! The gumbo was literally better than we had down there 😍 SO GOOD. And everyone working when I picked up (one was the owners daughter) were so passionate about how they make everything from scratch and kept giving me samples of everything and telling me their story. It’s a WONDERFUL locally owned place that should be protected at all costs. Cannot recommend enough!“

While the menu may appear to be limited, they all the homestyle favorites. There are vegetarian options. My favorite appetizer is on the menu, Fried Burssel Sprouts.

The portions are family style. Don't expect to finish what you order.

The bronzino was perfectly pancakes, crisp and flaky inside, squid ink pasta with shrimp was sublime, tuna tartare melted in our mouths and the deserts were stellar! “Had a lovely dinner with the family, early on a Sunday evening.
Our first time at Kid Shelleen's. It was much bigger than it appears at first. We had our two granddaughters with us, one is very vocal and not great at getting food into her mouth. We were conveniently tucked into the back corner where we didn't bother any other patrons, thanks to the wonderful staff. So thankful for their kindness and attention.“

We ordered a cheese steak that had good flavor and plentiful meat, but the cheese was barely there and they didn't add the mayo I requested. Worse, the pizza was room temperature.
