“Hands down the best Asian in Gainesville and I have lived here 12 years. I would actually put it up against any Asian place in New York. Not speedy, because everything is fresh-made, right down to the wontons in the wonton soup. Dishes are very nicely spiced rather than slathered in sauce. Ingredients are high quality, from the bok choi to the beef. Please, PLEASE stay in business.“

“I have never had such good Chinese food! I got the general tso's chicken and my mom got the cashew chicken. There was PLENTY portion wise and both were absolutely INCREDIBLE! “I've been coming to China Wok on Tower and Archer since 1998. During that time I've never had a single bad meal, nor a wrong order. No matter how much I order or what modifications (lots of onions and broccoli!) I make to my meal it comes out piping hot, flavourful, insanely prompt, and with great customer service. Even during COVID shutdown they fed our community safely and with love and care. I've watched whole generations raised in there go off to college. This is a cherished family restaurant and will always be my favourite Chinese takeaway.

• Wonton Soup (standard but nice and salty- great for sick days)

“Excellent service, super quick food, and absolutely amazing flavors. My husband said his hot pot beef tasted clean and flavorful. Not to mention the spice got the mucus out of him he left breath better with a full belly.I got chicken soup rice noodles and dumplings — so comforting and flavorful. They don’t skimp out on portions either we couldn’t even finish our bowls. The passion fruit and mango tea was refreshing and delicious. We both truly enjoyed our meal. Definitely recommend!“

“my wife and I went for the soft opening in Gainesville and absolutely loved it. we both got the 4 bowl. I got fried rice, udon, bourbon and Thai chicken. The bourbon was great, the best I've had in all of Gainesville. The Thai chicken could've been spicier. service was amazing and staff was very friendly. prices were very reasonable and portions were large. my wife loved the orange chicken. we'll definitely be back frequently. great job bambuu“

“Good walk-in lunch specials! Fast and friendly service. Lots of regulars and the staff remember them and what they order. Good sign.
First time in, so I ordered what they did. Lol. Spicy pork and broccoli was my favorite. Would recommend.

However, they do need to update their website from 7.75 for lunch to the updated price of 8.75. Still a great deal!“

My husband said the orange chicken was The best he has had in a long time. We were only passing through on our travels. We have visited a lot of states. Best Asian food we've had in a while. I know the strip mall has gone out of business but this place is still hanging on, so you know they have to be doing something right.“

My family and I was driving around from Trenton looking for some Chinese food and this place was still open at 10:30pm, they stayed open later for us to get there and the food was bomb. As a person who's origionally from an area that is known for good food, I've been dissappointed too many times to count while trying to find a place that has good chinese food in gainesville. Aesthetics don't matter to me; but if you have a big group of people or are looking for a place to have a sit-down lunch; this is probobally not the best place to go. That being said, if you want good chinese food for a reasonable price, this Hot Wok is a good option in GNV.“

“I called a number trying to reach another restaurant to make an order for someone at work. I hot this restaurant instead. It was a small $12 order and I made the order about 20 minutes before they closed, but he graciously took it and it arrived fresh. He drove all the way from 43rd to the jail (across from the airport) and delivered the food to my job. THEY DO NOT HAVE A DELIVERY SERVICE 🥰. He let me know that they plan to partner with some delivery companies in the future. He could have told me no, we can't and hung up. The service provided was definitely above and beyond and the fact that it was such a small order.....Thank You!“

“China garden just brought me back to life. I spent 55 dollars and got a full course buffet. The moo shoo, delicious, wontons delightful. I got the generals tsos, lo mein, fried rice. Egg rolls. Listen in today’s economy we need to be supporting the local Chinese restaurant because that was delicious and a great bang for my buck. 10/10 experience.
