“Anna Maria Oyster Bar - Ellenton, FL After spending the day at the Florida State Fair in Tampa, my fiancé and I decided to stop by Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Ellenton—and we’re so glad we did! We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. I have been going to Danny's Pizzeria for years until the new ownership happened, ate once, twice, three times then never again. “Oh where to start!
We were vacationing in Anna Maria for our 10th year and Beach Bistro was recommended for my birthday outing.
We called ahead and found that you have 2 choices here- the 4 course Dinner in main dining room- or- a la carte from bar area.
We chose the latter.
It was beautiful in looks right off. Old wood, low ceilings etc. Very warm and inviting!

Greeted by our bartender who was so gracious and kind.
Led us through anything we asked and made a fabulous drink !
We enjoyed those 2 hours more than we could say.
The food was one good bite after another !
We started with a fresh salad, then an appetizer of shrimp & crab which were perfect.
Entree was Lobster tail and Grouper. All fantastic!
The dessert was vanilla ice cream rolled in pralines topped with slivered almonds and Frangelica!
Still thinking of that now!

Cannot wait to go back next year as this is our new place to be !“

“Definitely a diamond in the rough!! There were 5 in our party and even tho we waited awhile it was definitely worth it. Our waitress was excellent and let us know from the beginning that she was backed up but would be back to us as soon as she could check on the other tables. She was actually the only server on duty!! The food was also excellent and well worth the wait and the price was very reasonable. We also sat where we could watch the kitchen staff working their butts off handling table orders as well as a stream of take out orders. All 5 of us agreed our experience was worth every minute. While we were there I didn't hear any complaints at all, which is highly unusual when you have any kind of wait. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We even tipped the kitchen staff for their hard work.“

“I didn't have food so I can't rate, the inside bartender saw me in line, 2 men stepped in when a group of girls walked away, she took there order and then told them I will get that as soon as I serve him, that's what makes a great bartender and great service, the guy added my drink to their order however great job to that bartender.

They could stand to clean their a/c return vents and probably replace the filters, otherwise it was a very clean restaurant including the bathrooms. “Decided to go here on a Wednesday evening and there weren't many people there. Usually a red flag but we are in off season and their prices aren't super consistent with having a ton of people. Anyway.
Service was excellent and had a great conversation while getting excellent food service.
Food quality was incredible as there was incredible depth to the food. The portion size isn't what I'm used to at most Italian restaurants. They were far smaller than usual. However. I preferred the smaller plates and focus on quality. This is one of the hidden gems on the key. Please, especially if you prefer a home cooked, reasonably portioned Italian food.... Do it. I will be ordering takeout (at least) and should provide an updated review if anything changes.

“Can’t say much about the food here but the marina service is top notch ! The marina could use some work and it’s not as fancy as other places around, but we come back year after year and rent a slip and storage May-August solely because of Harley. He is always a joy to interact with, honest and hardworking. He addresses any issue or concern with haste, makes us feel like family every summer and is always super accommodating to my handicapped father when he comes with us to the marina which means the world to us. Can’t say enough good things about him!“

“The pizza here was amazing! My family and I arrived late on Friday night and the owner (I didn't get his name) was so gracious to let us in and serve us. He was so welcoming and shared the history of the restaurant and gave us great tips in fun family things to do on the island. I am so glad we stopped in! It was a great experience!
