“I haven't had a Cuban Bistec sandwich for many years and decided to give this Little Haiti addition a try... The male cashier took my order, asked if I wanted my bottled juice now or later with the meal, and I chose later... He told me it would be ready in 10 minutes and I gave him 15... When I returned, he was away from the takeout window (food prepping I suppose as he had a bag of what looked like beef patties in hand)... The lady who came to the window spoke to me in Spanish then proceeded to hold (what seemed like) a five (5) minute conversation with each other... My food was finally ready, I left (parked on the south side), and it did not cause me to relive the great memories from years ago... Maybe next time...“

“Their food is excellent - so delicious - but they totally skimp on meat on some of their plates. $30 for meat fajitas where you only have enough meat for one fajita is a major fail. Same with the vaca frita. Alot of vegetables but not enough meat. Left me hungry. Tostones are not crunchy. Don Lolos is officially off the lunch rotation. Shame bc their food is sooo good.“

They have a counter where the the food is displayed for you to select, either take out or eat in. Certain dishes will be made to order. Then you seat to be served.

“We were greeted immediately by 2 wait staff as we approached the door. It had begun to rain as we got out of the car. We were greatful for being able to get out of the rain. Hot tea and coffee were brought immediately and we ordered the Fri night special. Paella with seafood And a salad. We added plantains of course. For desert Flan.“

I was looking for an authentic, hole in the wall place- and this is it. I’ll be talking about the beef empanadas and chicken empanadas to anyone that will listen for years to come. It’s a few blocks off of Collins and definitely worth the short walk.“

“I ate here on Sunday and the food was amazing, but the service truly stood out. From the moment we walked in, both servers were so genuine and welcoming. One spoke English and the other spoke Spanish, which was perfect since two people in our group only spoke Spanish. They made us feel very comfortable and taken care of the entire time. They also made me the best latte I’ve ever had! The young waitress and I also had a great conversation about New York lol, which made the experience feel even more personal and friendly. Definitely coming back and hoping for another great experience. 10/10. Will be back when I land in Miami next month“

“After a long drive and plenty of walking, this Cuban pizza hit the spot perfectly. The place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe and the staff couldn’t be nicer. The pizza was flavorful, cheesy, and satisficing even saved half for lunch the next day. Simple, tasty, and just what we needed!“

“Latin Corner Cafe is the perfect spot whether you’re in a hurry or looking to enjoy a relaxed meal. The food is fresh, flavorful, and comes out beautifully prepared. I ordered the Bistec a Caballo con Papitas, and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly, the portion was generous, and the crispy potatoes complemented it perfectly.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous. Her hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.

“I was working at a construction jobsite paving a parking lot and my boss brought food from here once. Every since I tried it, I've gone back every single day. I never get tired of the food here. El Rapido is run by two people and they absolutely slay every single plate they make.
As a son of Cuban parents, I get white rice, black beans, chicken breast with onions, and plátano maduro. I've never been a person that likes onions but almighty God himself must've instilled the gift of cooking into the man that makes this food cause holy hell I even eat the onions. I'm gonna miss this place when my jobsite is eventually completed, but who knows maybe I'll make the drive up here from Hialeah just to try the food.
Absolutely, 100% PLEASE give these fine people's food a try. If you're Cuban, this will remind you of home. If you're not Cuban and want to try Cuban food, THIS is the place you need to hit up. $10 a plate and you get a lot of food.
These two are the kindest couple I've ever seen run a restaurant. It's like that mom and pop shop type vibe you see in a movie like In the Heights. I just met these people but if anything were to happen to them I'm pretty sure I'd hurt someone.“
