“We stumbled in here for lunch, exploring the neighborhood. At first, I thought the menu for lunch was too small perhaps with too many ingredients for each dish. Clearly my mistake. This kitchen really knows how to combine ingredients for incredible flavor and balance. It’s clear that the chef has put a lot of thought into each of these dishes, without them being fussy or overly wrought. The sweet potato bowl was an explosion of flavors and incredibly satisfying. Even though we were full, I insisted on trying both desserts. The house made vanilla ice cream with rum was one of the best vanillas I’ve ever had and their take on the Pavlova, well, I would come back just for that. Maria provided knowledgeable and attentive service and the overall vibe of the place will bring us back for dinner soon, bravo, Flora..“

The edible bright flowers that bring life and color to the plate. The waiters! Knowledgeable, delicate, with a sense of humor. Violinist - modernistic rap music that sounds like Bach. Ambiance. I could just do this polenta alone like a dessert cream brûlée. It's a place to return to. “Nice atmosphere m, staff was great, and food was delicious. The mimosa was as big as my head.. lol However, it was $19. I wish there would have been a smaller size option as I have a very small stomach due to weight loss surgery. With the $19 mimosa I also got a coffee, eggs with cheese and bacon with a bagel to go for my friend. With tip the bill was $60. Now I realize I’m in South Beach, but I think that is a little excessive for breakfast. Lunch and dinner I understand.“

Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. As we were without reservations, we were seated at the bar. What a turn of events and absolute treat this turned out to be! This was quite literally a chef's table experience!

The staff here is just so kind, warm and inviting - they most certainly hotel right here. We were literally showered in warm hospitality!

Non-alcoholic drinks were made to my imagination and the pasta was so, so comforting and good! As a finer dining sister restaurant to the wonderful Eating House, we should have expected nothing less!
