“The hostess and our waitress, Amanda were great. The hostess directed us away from a noisy child and Amanda was very friendly, courteous and helpful the whole evening. We were celebrating a couple birthdays and Amanda made it a memorable event! We highly recommend both the Shipyard and Amanda.“

“We were South Seas Resort guests enjoying a date night while our two boys were at Kids Camptiva night out. The food was beyond exceptional as well as the service. Our server, Knox, was amazing with well rounded knowledge on the dishes and his recommendations. And kudos to him for serving us in the heat outside…he didn’t mind a bit and served us with joy. We got the fried Brussel sprouts (so crispy and light) and risotto (rich and flavorful) as the side. My husband had the scrumptious short ribbed ravioli and I had the fresh local snapper with a scampi of seafood from scallops, shrimp and clams - all so light and full of flavor. The atmosphere was a perfect setting for our evening date and followed with a walk on the beach. Knox thought ahead and offered us refreshing ice cold water for the walk. We highly recommended for a low key, romantic evening out—with exceptional service and food all in one place while staying at South Seas!“

“Excellent food. Excellent service. Unique atmosphere. I got the grouper topped with some “mud bugs” and my wife got stuffed shrimp. Both were fantastic. This restaurant is a must during your visit to Sanibel.“

“What a fun little spot this is! The bartenders were friendly and fast, the atmosphere was somehow both high energy and beach chill, and the drinks were tasty. If you like piña colada, give their signature Lime and Coconut a try. The Stromboli was excellent but minus one star on food bc the kitchen ignored the no onions request on my ticket. I did have to walk through the hotel to reach this bar but not sure if that was just me being inefficient or if that’s the only way in.“

“Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.“
