“Great spot and the food was really good! The only thing I didn’t like was the service. After our server brought out the food, we didn’t see him again. We eventually had to ask another waiter to let him know that we were finished.
He never came back to check on us, ask how the food was, or see if we needed anything else. I actually wanted to order a few more things from the menu, but since our waiter never came back, I didn’t get the chance.
Overall, the food was good, but the service could definitely be improved.“

“We choose it for dinner based on the reviews but after our experience we agree that the rating is too high. The serving was mediocre, the mojito was served in a water glass. We ordered pizza for the kids and the salami was spicy, they couldn’t eat it- a heads up would have been mandatory in this case. Despite all that the paella was very tasty, and one is enough to serve 2 persons. The prices are in the average scale for Ocean Drive.“

“I had heard about this hot restaurant from New York that I must try, but was reticent to do so because Carbone was the name of a character from Goodfellas that Robert Deniro's Jimmy Conway whacked when tying up loose ends after the Lufthansa job! Poor sap was hanging frozen in a meat locker. I'm glad I put that imagery aside because this place was amazing! Platitudes like wonderful ambience, fine service, flavorful food, great family style dining, are all applicable but just don't capture the full spirit of the evening. From the pickled cauliflower, to the signature spicy rigatoni ala vodka (which pairs nicely with their pinot noir offering Presqu'ile), to the Caesar salad (you must have those croutons!), and their delicious Italian petit-fours, everything burst with flavor and was resplendent of the authenticity of old Venice. And since you will be spending more than a few pennies here, one must luxuriate in the mid century environs replete with Murano glass chandeliers while being serenaded with a sound track of Italian crooners like Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra in the full bela canta tradition. If you have a special occasion, Carbones Miami Beach will make for a memorable evening.“

“I’m not sure if he’s upper management, the owner, or simply just a phenomenal server who really cares for the business, but every time I come, the service is always welcoming, but there is one man in particular who always introduces the drinks to the person who orders them, telling the story, and ending his explanation with a nice “cheers”. He does this for each person. It’s very personable, and you can see that he cares about the drinks and the craft of such unique, worldly takes on cocktails. It’s a place I always recommend for a cozy, laidback vibe, but also one that still feels upscale. The only thing is that I wish they had different music than the food hall - the food hall’s music is pretty atrocious and doesn’t complement the otherwise sleek yet down to earth vibe of the bar. The homemade pickles and bread were good. Drinks were also great. We parked at the hotel which is $21 for three hours and you can get a discount for the store. $16 for parking, $20 for a burger. They should try to get a better discount for the parking.“
