“It doesn’t get much better than Taste of the City. I have been coming here for many years. The food and I had about everything is always hot, fresh and delicious. The owner Debra is one of the nicest and most genuine people you can ever meet. I can eat anywhere from the Hard Rock, Ft. Lauderdale to Miami Beach but I prefer to come here. I have been very lucky this have this great restaurant within walking distance. The waitress is always friendly and keeps everything moving smoothly. Your drink is never empty. I only wish they were open for dinner. But then again Debra and the stuff need the time to rest. And we should or at least I should. Take Debra to dinner for having such a wonderful place. And really this is the place where everyone knows your name.“

“Today, November 13, 2024, I decided to go out and have my first meal at the boulangerie. I've always seen good reviews about the place, although I was worried it would be expensive. To me, "expensive" implies something high priced with poor food and service. However, I had a great experience, especially because of the friendliness of all the waitresses, and Nahir L really makes the moment even better. The presentation of the dish, the flavor... for me, the price is fair for the experience there.

It is totally amazing! The moment you go in the cafe you are treated by friendly courteous staff. Nelita the manager is totally amazing and so is the owner and CEO of the store. My daughter’s Baby Shower was recently catered by them and my experience has been great. I am very satisfied and will definitely continue doing business with them.“

“First time here. Wonderful authentic food. Great staff, very welcoming to out-of-towners. Walked us through the menu and guided us to some amazing dishes. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. Try the Cuban sandwich, of course! The pork was lean, the flavors all blended together great, and with some crystal hot sauce, perfection! Erica had the ground beef sandwich which is a Cuban taken on sloppy joes with raisins and olives, absolutely delightful with their “pink sauce” garlic, spicy deliciousness. Come by soon and you’ll be here often!“

“We found this restaurant by accident but we were sooooo glad we did! The food was SPECTACULAR. Everything tasted fresh, the burger was so juicy and flavorful, the Philly cheesesteak was so tender and filling. We tried the chai tea (it could use a bit more flavor/syrup) and the taro boba (which was good but they didn’t have the tapioca which would’ve made it so much better). Overall it was a great dining experience. We are looking forward to going again. Thank you!

Kid-friendliness: The store was decorated in Harry Potter decor for Halloween. It was super cute. They also had plenty desserts and a kid menu for smaller customers.“

I got 12 different flavors and they still had some flavors we didn't try this time. They were beautiful and tasted great! I went right when they opened on a Thursday, very polite. “This is a hidden gem here in Ft. Lauderdale. My colleagues came across this café about a week ago & we decided to check it out. I have since then been 3 times & every food experience is better than the last. With sky rocket high prices everywhere downtown it's nice to get an amazing quality meal that doesn't cost a minimum of $20. I've had their French toast with fresh blue berries and strawberries, their chicken rice bowl that was absolutely delicious & their turkey sandwich on rye bread. Food is fresh and the staff is super friendly. I will continue coming here. THANK YOU!!!!“
