“I had never been to Pollo Tropical even though they seem to be almost everywhere. I ordered a pork sandwich with a side of sweet plantains and my husband had a chipotle chicken sandwich. The service through the drive thru was quick and efficient. The food wasn’t bad but the sauce and onions described on the menu were both missing from my sandwich. The fact that the sandwich wasn’t dry despite the missing toppings says something (good) about the meat but I am sure that the sandwich would have been better if it was as described. That is a problem with take out- you don’t know that there is an error with the order at a time when it is possible to do anything about it. The plantains were well made and hot and a nice sized portion. My husband liked his sandwich.“

“Michael was very attentive and informative, loved the service he provided. The buffalo chicken sandwich had great flavor. I feel the waffles taste like pancakes the texture is very soft and fluffy. The chicken tender was very light in flavor. Presentation was on point.“

We had the Jones n’ Hot Chicken sandwich which was so full of flavor with a kick of just right amount of spice; the jalapeño fries were the bomb and last but definitely not least the sweet potato biscuit is to die for! These biscuits melt in your mouth. So good, I had to bring some back to Houston with me. I highly recommend Chick N’ Jones you won’t be disappointed.“

“This has to be the TOP Pollo Tropical in all of South Florida. The lines for drive thru are always around the corner, if you can find parking get off and order inside. The chicken is ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS 20+ years I’ve eaten here, fresh of the grill. I think because of the volume of guests near airport that have to keep cooking all day long. The food is so good, beans, rice, plantains, even the dessert is yummy. Thank you for offering great prices and quality food to the community!!!“

“I love this location being close to home but they really need to figure something out with the parking lady out front harassing guests. This chick fil a is legit the only business open in the building on the whole block yet you can’t park for 5 minutes out front to get food. The garage is $8! The city should rezone the parking in front for 15 minutes Max or something. How are business supposed to survive here. They are losing a lot of business. We left today because the parking lady was harassing us. Meanwhile 6 police cars parked out front getting lunch, a city bus parked in the no parking zone to get lunch, 2 usps trucks parked in a no parking zone to get lunch. Are they special? The street is dead! Let the public people get their lunch.“

“Pollo Tropical offers a solid selection of flavorful, Caribbean-inspired dishes at a good value. One of the highlights for me is their coconut shrimp—crispy, lightly sweet, and well-seasoned. The shrimp are a great size and have a nice crunch without being overly greasy.

I also really enjoy their sweet plantains. They’re soft, caramelized just right, and make for a great side dish. If you like plantains, these won’t disappoint.

The service is usually quick, and the atmosphere is casual and laid-back. It’s a good spot for a quick meal that’s different from the usual fast food options. If you’re in the mood for something tropical, it’s definitely worth a stop.

“The food is good but the people is a different story, I when to purchase a 14 piece meal for my kids and my self. and I was doing a favor for a friend, since I was going for my self, as he asked me to buy for her a 5 piece meal, everything was OK until a lady came to the register ( think it was the manager) I was using a coupon for each of the meals, I explained to her that one was for my home and the other one was for a friend but she kept saying I only can used one, again I explained that it was not for me the small meal why I'm going to get a 5 piece of I already was getting 14 pieces. just make to separate orders, but this small minded woman keep repeating her self that I can't, if my friend was there she still will have to do a second order... So no I will not recommend the location on 54st Northwest between 12th and 11th Avenue. they are rude and unprofessional... The old manager, was a kind an friendly lady. Train your management more than your cashiers... Their title goes over the heads. I'm going to Boston Market... even Popeyes is better...“

“Just another Pollo Tropical restaurant. Still the chicken is really good, the yuquitas are good, also the black beans and white rice, as well as the yellow curry sauce. I did drive thru and apparently the lady taking the order was in a rush or sounded like it; even though I did not have a car behind me.“
