“I decided to try this restaurant on a whim as I was driving through the shopping plaza. I was very impressed with the customer service and the food was well prepared... Both dishes that I ordered were delicious! I have visited a few times since then and have not been disappointed. I certainly recommend!“

“Alamod Caribbean Restaurant is a hidden gem that truly deserves all five stars! The flavors are authentic, rich, and vibrant. The griot was perfectly seasoned, tender, and the pikliz added the perfect kick. The staff were warm and welcoming. The portions were very generous, and the prices were fair for the quality and experience . Alamod Caribbean Restaurant is a must-visit!“

“This place right here is my favorite Haitian restaurant! Now that their Miami location has closed, I still make the commute here to get my fix. They have all the classic dishes, from griot all the way to lalo on Thursdays. You must dine in if you can. The staff is so welcoming and nice. The food presentation is immaculate. If you're a fan of mac and cheese, you must try the mac. Please be patient, as the food is very fresh and may take some time to come out. But just vibe to the Haitian music while you wait, and you'll be okay.“

“I decided to check out this place since it was my last night in the city, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Turkey Tassot and a couple of patties. The turkey was delicious! The patties were just okay, though—they could have used a bit more filling. But the service was fantastic, which made the experience special. I loved the Turkey Tassot so much that I called a Haitian friend of mine when I returned home to get her recipe. Mine turned out pretty good, but it didn’t compare to the amazing one from the restaurant!“

“IF I CAN GIVE IT A 6, I WOULD!
I had THE BEST experience in visiting this restaurant for the first time. The customer service and warm welcome made me feel immediately at home! I was going to order the food to go, but decided to sit down to enjoy the cool space, the good food, and the really warm people. The food was a 10/10 in abundance and in taste!!! Very few places can just make you feel loved immediately, but this was one. I thoroughly enjoyed having a mother-daughter lunch that we both will never forget. I will be back, trust and believe!! Thank you so much for making my day that much brighter! One love for real!“

“I got the griot complete, and I enjoyed everything, except for the rice! But other than that everything was fresh and very good! Is now my go-to spot for griot but minus the rice! Will be visiting again and hopefully I can update this review and give a better review on the rice!“

“After a long day of volunteering I was definitely craving some comfort food. This place was conveniently less than five minutes away. Ordered two different things, legume and fried chicken.
My daughter absolutely loved the legume. She was pleased and very excited to try this place again.
I on the other hand! Food
wasn't bomb to me like it was to my eldest but it wasn't bad either. I wish there was more flavor in my chicken and rice. The plikiz was cho, spicy 🥵 just how I like it.
I would be open to trying this spot again maybe something different. But if you are in the area definitely pop by and give this spot a try.“

“This small Haitian spot is takeout-only. All orders take about 25-30 minutes, which is good because you know it’s freshly prepared, but consider calling in advance if you don’t want to wait. While there’s no ambience, there’s chairs to wait in, and the staff is friendly and helped me pick out a variety to try. The spicing and preparation were good, but a bit salty for my (non-Haitian) palette. Overall I’d love to come back to try the rest of the menu when I’m back in the area.
Parking: A handful of spots are available by pulling into the driveway in front of the building. This is directly off of a fairly busy road without street parking.“

“Food is excellent and they give you a lot for your money. I’m unable to finish a platter by myself. The taso kabrit platter is amazing, the oxtail platter, also delicious.“

“The food here is excellent! The best oxtail in S Florida, and the wings were super crispy and flavorful.
Service was outstanding.
If you’re impatient call and order ahead and they’ll have it waiting for you, but they cook everything as ordered so it does take a moment… but well worth the wait!“

“It was my first time trying Haitian food and it was incredible. I only ordered one plate of food and the older lady who was very sweet brought an extra plate for my wife free of charge. I can’t recommend this place enough! I’ll definitely be coming back“

“Don't let the name fool you. This is my go to Haitian food take- out! Service time is reasonable. Value/price relationship is pretty balanced.
My favorites are griot simple, and tassot simple * served with fried plaintain.
They serve generously. One platter of food may serve 2.
Dietary restrictions: Non dairy food
Kid-friendliness: Take out, kids should remain in car“

“I went there thinking there was a nice sit down option for my family, but was dissatisfied with the seating arrangements. Place was quite dirty outside. But the Griot with rice and beans were great. This is more of a to go option but definitely won't get crossed off the list.“

“I am giving them a 8/10 for great food and price. I had griot, fried fish and the food was well seasoned and flavored, the portion was great. My only complaint is the music was too loud and the decor was poor, place is small too. I guess most people just order and pick up the food.“

“Atmosphere isn't great, but if you know anything about Haitian restaurants, the decor is often the reverse of the food quality. Poor decor, but good food is typical. Cuisine Lakay is no exception. Ordered the fried pork with rice and beans and it was made to order and pretty damn “
“My first time going here the other day. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture. This is most definitely my new Haitian restaurant ❤️ One of the patrons was nice and complimented my black Camaro❤️ we had nice conversations while I waited on my food which was cooked fresh, seasoned and enough for seconds.“

“A small Haitian cuisine takeout, tucked away like the ? it is...food is made to order, and probably the best around. Store is too quiet. Try to give the store life by playing music, or at least turn on the t.v. on. It's so quiet, i can hear the refrigerator running, as if I had bionic ears. Nonetheless, give them a chance, you won't regret it. Remember to support small businesses. ?????? Peace and Love.“
“Spots like this aren’t known for customer service but the food always makes up for it. The Legume is one of my favorites but haven’t had anything from here that I didn’t like. Great portions. Very small not many tables so I’d recommend take out option. You can also order in English which helps if you do not speak Haitian Creole.“
“I'll update this review as I keep trying this place, but so far, 4 stars from me. I ordered through Grubhub and got the Griot meal. The rice and bean sauce was pretty good, and the meat was crispy outside and tender inside. It could use more flavor, but the gravy and pikliz more than made up for it.The reviews here are bad, but my order of Griot was good. Time will tell if they're consistent, and I'll check out other dishes.“

“My favorites are the spinach (Lalo) and sweet plantain (bannann) for breakfast. I love all their Patties, Labouyl, Mayi Moulin, and, of course, their soup, Joumou! I literally drive about 30 min on the weekend to get breakfast. Everything really is delicious! ?“
