“We've been to this location a few times and the experience has varied. Normally the service and atmosphere are good, but the food this time had several problems, to the point we asked for a refund on some of it. It was also one of our birthdays today and they did a quieter happy birthday song (something we were grateful for). There were a few other things which contributed to this experience ending on a good note, the most notable being our server, Marcos. “We love Red Lobster, but didn't live near one till I recently moved to the area. We had the best experience at the Daytona Beach Shores location. Our family had the pleasure of having Michelle as our server. It was busy in the restaurant, but she took it in stride and made sure we didn't have to ask for a thing, she was right there with any thing we could possibly need. I had the endless shrimp, my wife had surf and turf as did our son. Is was all amazing! Needless to say we will be back often. If your in the area you can't go wrong eating here.“

“This is a little hole in the wall that you may not even notice from the street it looks like a house almost. My wife and I went there for lunch and it was quite delicioso, I got classic pulled pork & black beans that were better than I've had anywhere else. The pupusas were also quite good and larger than I've had at other places. And the enchiladas were made with homemade thicker tortillas so that's a nice touch. The enchiladas just came by themselves (4) with no rice and beans. It was a little difficult to order because of the language barrier so that's my only caveat if you don't speak Spanish.“
“We had dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. The place is very new and it shows it. It also sits on a river bank and shoes off when the sun sets. We had a drink and then ordered our food. When our dinners arrived, mine was not what I ordered and the food deliverer was very upset and very quickly scooped up the plate and ran away, coming back in a few minutes and promising delivery of the correct item ASAP. Well, you now what that means: my wife had to eat her meal while it was fresh and hot and, of course, when my meal re-appeared she had finished. What to do in these situations, what to do?? I feel for the restaurant and I did my best to accept the situation for what it was... However, our server never approached us for the entire time from ordering to being prompted by us to provide a bill. I thought the place should have done something to appease us. They could have reduced the price, offered a free dessert (we would have politely refused), or they could have apologized for the incident. Nothing... We'll go back again because the setting and food was, indeed, very good. I hope the manager reads this review and learns from it.“

“This is a solid breakfast place! Our first time in and it looked updated and modern from the outside, located in a newer strip mall. Inside was homey and quaint and cozy feeling. Everything looked clean and it wasn't loud with blasting music or loud talking. The cook serenaded us with a quiet whistle the entire visit, he whistled a tune while he cooked which was unique and joyful.The food was solid, fresh and yummy. I had a regular breakfast with crispy bacon, fluffy eggs scrambled and fresh (not frozen) home fries cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also had the BISCUIT!! Oh my! Check out photo, it was the best!! You won't find a frozen potato here, they don't even offer hash browns on their menu thank God! ?? my husband had "The Mess" and my FIL did too. It was an astounding amount of gravy over the food. I tried the gravy and it was seasoned and tasted good- they do know how to make country gravy. My MIL had pancakes and they looked good as well.We will go back there!My only complaints: our water wasn't refilled once, and they don't have flavored creamers (but they let you bring your own) and the "jam" packets were cheaper type of jelly and not really jam. The "butter is a margarine blend too.Small complaints for a nice place with good wait staff and chef.Parking: Limited number of spots due to it being on busy Rt 1 and a strip mall. “We came to Traders for the 1st time Thursday after arriving in Daytona Beach during a storm and didn’t feel like driving anywhere so we came here the food and drinks were excellent. Megan was our server and she’s amazing. Well on Saturday it again was raining and we didn’t feel like taking the Harley out so we came in to traders and Megan was working again today. And to our surprise Thursday was no fluke. The food and drinks were again the best we’ve had anywhere. Megan was smiling and taking care of her customers without missing a beat. We still got 3 more days in Daytona and more than likely will be back again.“
“The appearance on the outside leaves you to believe it's not a great restaurant but don't let that fool you at Al!!! The food was top notch and so was the service!!!!! The salad was a huge salad with everything you wanted and maybe not. The beer was freezing cold and then the meal we had the filet mignon with baked potato ( huge, soft, delicious), grilled mushrooms and onions fabulous, and veggies for our side. Now the tea is not pre sweetened so don't expect good ole Southern tea but the dessert in the end help fill in the spots that all the food didn't fill!!! “We tried this place for dinner on a Sunday. We arrived just after 4:00 p.m. and they were already pretty busy. It took us a few minutes to get seated. We sampled a variety of buffet and hibachi items. Most things were fresh and hot. We did find that a lot of the chicken options were very heavy on the sauce. The hibachi was on point. We did not sample the sushi. The buffet bar was very bare and was not refilled at all in the hour plus that we were there. Overall it was a good meal.“

We tried the breakfast dishes such as eggs benedict, avocado toast, eggs, and avocado bowl, which were all delicious, and the portions were just right as well! “My husband and I went here last weekend to grab a late lunch. It was right across from our hotel and we didn’t have to drive. From the second we walked in the door, Sheila had us crying laughing. It was the best welcome to a restaurant I’ve had in, well, I can’t even remember when. She was also our server and she was so amazing that I made a point to let her know how much she made our weekend just by being so kind and funny. The service was great and the food was perfect. If I lived in Daytona, I’d be eating here all the time. Kudos to everyone there for making it such a great experience for us. “Sometimes you get a hanker and for some chicken fried steak. It wasn't my fault, it was a friend who posted their dinner online and it just got it in my brain. The starlight diner delivers a good tasting chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad. All of which was great! I got the iced tea split half and half sweetened and unsweetened. The staff was super friendly and quick as usual.“
