Our first visit was to the Ormond location, which was also absolutely spectacular, which led us to visiting the New Smyrna Beach location. This location is much larger with dining indoors, upstairs and downstairs along with patio service.

Our server was Amanda and we have every intention of asking for her in the future. We were so happy to have all of our expectations met.

Presentation, flavor, portion sizes, and value is completely there. It’s an experience rarely found in Volusia County. The atmosphere and vibe is absolutely there for everybody from every walk of life. This restaurant in particularly this location is extremely highly recommended from someone who usually only goes out to eat when I can have a chef tasting or Michelin star experience. I’ve been to Culver’s in the past and in my hometown of Kingwood Texas but never tried the fish dinner. It was really good, hot, and fresh. The white fish was cooked at the perfect temperature, the fries were crispy, and the cole slaw was phenomenal! When I get back home I’ll have to visit the one near home and take my wife with me. She used to like Long John Silvers back in the day, but Culver’s puts them to shame.
Oh yeah, the staff was awesome too. I won’t drop any names of the staff here as Google’s new rules are taking effect and they don’t want to see employee names… so there’s that! Have a blessed day and I hope you get something out of my honest review.“

We have been planning to visit the Bakers Table for a few years now , but never really had time. Today that was remedied.

We truly enjoyed each dish we ordered for lunch/brunch !!

Every dish had its own unique flair with fresh ingredients and nothing was over done or over seasoned.

Shrimp and grits - my favorite ever.
New England clam chowder - perfect.
Shaved prime rib sandwich - fresh and amazing.

Pastries - delicious
Cappuccino- delightful

Aaron - our server was amazing and perfectly attentive with great knowledge of every dish. Our water glass was never empty.

“My husband and I decided to stop in for breakfast yesterday morning. They were busy, but we were seated right away by a polite hostess. Pam was our waitressand she was wonderful. She recommended the BEC breakfast (with cheesy grits) and it was perfect. The sandwich was delicious and my first time for the cheesy grits and they were very yummy with a layer of melted and browned cheese on top. Pam was very attentive and checked back on us making sure we had everything we wanted. Though they were busy the service and food was great !“

Maybe I am just being spiteful. I admit that. However, I went into this bar/restaurant because I was parked at the public beach parking next door and the meter could not accept credit card payments—it was broken. I asked if they could break a hundred dollar bill and they flat said no. She said they didn’t have it. The bar was packed. I find that hard to believe. She didn’t ask any of the servers or the manager. I realize it is a restaurant and not a bank but the interaction just felt discourteous. I worked in the service industry for years and it just was not personable. End rant lol. I will be at the beach all day but I will not be taking my family to this restaurant for lunch or dinner. Not today or ever. And I’m posting this review because that is the impact of a negative service interaction“

“It was our 1st time here (we're also from out of town), and saw this place on the map and decided to try it out. Let me tell you how amazed we were by the quality of the food. My partner and I split the southern heap (swapped out the potatoes for fruit), and it was a great portion! The food was delicious, the service was great, (Kelly was our server and she was awesome), and we will definitely be back when we are in town or driving thru! If you live in the area or are just passing thru, you have to stop in and get some delicious country style food.

If a server passed your table, with a smile they asked how everything was and did you need anything. Best staff attitude I have seen in a long time. Cudos to the Staff and mgt. “Since I live in Ponce Inlet, I've been to Down the Hatch many times and have always found their seafood to be so fresh all the time. This time I had my sons visiting me from St. Louis, they wanted to eat at the best restaurant for seafood, and of course, we went right here and it didn't disappoint. They especially loved the shecrab soup with the sherry on the side. It was scrumptious. Their dinners were wonderful, as well as the desserts. Needless to say, we went home with plenty of leftovers. Steve, the server was great. All in all, it was a perfect night. So whether you live nearby or on vacation, make it a point to dine there.“
