“Nice bar and good service. Perfect for the guys while the girls go shopping. Nice range of beers and reasonable prices. Only fault was the very loud shouting from a group at the far end of the bar who used profanities for every other word.Ample parking available.“

The Legion is a wonderful building with so many activities, friendly patrons, super staff who serve wonderful meals. “Happened across Scalawags after doing a quick Google search of the name while in Sarasota area. Came in about noon on a Wed, just a few mixed age locals there, friendly people, fun and good laughs! Mainly a pool tables and electronic games type bar, dimly lit. Kitchen opens about noon, had a beer on tap and ordered the Grouper Sub, which was great - would get it again. Had another beer. Cash only for Papa Ron's food menu. Bar service is Scalawags, pay separately from food - works for them and me - no problem. Will return!!BTW - The Scalawags name came to mind because of the recent Gasparilla fest in Tampa and also because there is a Scalawags Whiefish & Chips in Mackinaw City, MI that a good friend of mine created, owned and operated for 30 years - serves the BEST fresh-caught Great Lakes Whitefish anywhere! So if you ever go there - you won't be disappointed there either!“

“I had the most wonderful solo dining experience! The hostess Helen, bartender/waiter Glen, and the manager Ryan (I apologize if I have that wrong, we only met briefly) were so considerate and went out of their way to take good care of me, even after the mayor of Bradenton and his crew showed up haha! The food was good, the sunset view was phenomenal, and the staff are genuinely so welcoming and kind even when they're super busy!“

“The happy hour there is fantastic. Most of their appetizers are half off. They are the size of a meal.our favorite app are the chicken tenders. We upgrade from fries to onion rings for an extra $2. It's well worth it. Their onion rings are a beer batter variety an really good. Their pizzas are also half off during happy hour. They are Gourmet pizza and really good as well.“

We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. “5 stars for family friendly atmosphere, great food, and cold beer! The owners Staci and Josh have worked so hard alongside their staff to bring back the Boiler Room and boy have they outdone themselves! We have been many times since they re-opened the doors, and every time has been great service and delicious food. Kid approved too! They were also very accommodating when we brought 11 family members in for Monday night football! We cannot recommend Boiler Room enough. YUM!“

“A very pleasant surprise that we stumbled upon. We decided to drive back into IMG at the 53rd Street entrance. We found the Legacy hotel. That’s where we found the cozy Icon grill. It happened to be happy hour an appetizers were half off along with drink specials. The food was excellent and we have shared this special place with many friends. The atmosphere was a bit loud since it sits almost in the hotel lobby. The outside is quiet and beautiful, sitting on a small lagoon.“

“prime rib special was delicious. reservations were at 6:15. it was so loud in the restaurant we couldn't talk to our friends at the table next time, I'm eating outside Then a couple came in with a southeastern guide dog who laid down by my leg I really didn't appreciate this since I am not a dog lover and it is an expensive place to eat.“
