“Sohao is the best restaurant in Gainesville! The staff are very welcoming and accommodating and the food is on another level. My favorite dishes are any of the baos and any of the bentos. They’re is plenty of variety in the menu and the food is super high quality. The ambience is really great too with nice music and lots of murals and statues along the wall. I enjoy also picking up food for to go and the service is great! Highly recommend, it’s a must try for anyone in Gainesville!“
“This is my first time in Gainesville Florida. Saw this place while exploring the city. The cars were to the street, which made me curious ?. When I googled the establishment, I saw that the menu was small and simple. I must say they did not disappoint. My order was a cheeseburger and fries. It was DELICIOUS. I give them a 9 out of 10. My fries just weren't hot enough to my liking. Great service! No photos cause I ate it all. Lol“
“I read some bad reviews so i was hesitant to go. Im sooo glad I did. Its my new pizza place . Pizza is like a food group in our family. Its really fun to go. They assemble your pizza in like an assembly line, like subway or publix sub line. Some starts it, then the next person takes over. Theres fresh cut toppings including pickled peppers, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes. All fresh and ripe. Brick oven toasted. The crust was great and I dont typically like thinner crust. Its amazing. You gotta go try it. Every single employee smiled and they held the door at entry & exit. Kid friendly environment. No mess no fuss. Be as loud or quiet as you want. Very clean as well. Kudos to the owner & management. We will definately be back asap.“
“El Indio has been a staple of my upbringing for the last 30 years. I was in town for an event and decided to get dinner one night and some breakfast a day or two later. I got an enchilada plate with asada and it was great! For breakfast I ordered a breakfast burrito and breakfast taco. Both were very good. I highly recommend El Indio if you haven't been before, everything is great. Except for the prices, I know prices go up but this used to be a budget place to get some really good food, now the prices are significantly more and seem like they go up every time I'm in town.“
“Chicken biscuit & hash browns were good, but could’ve been better if they were fresher… They had 2 ppl taking orders & by the time we got to the window almost everyone’s orders (like 15 bags) were waiting on the counter… If they can’t serve orders as fast, maybe taking orders a little slower may help…“

“Recently tried this place and I liked it. My boyfriend and I shared nachos, wings, and an ice cream sandwich all of which were pretty good. The nachos in my opinion could’ve had more toppings like tomatoes, onions, or sour cream. It only had queso and beef which it also could have had more of. The wings, however, were super good. We got the garlic Parmesan and buffalo, and I liked the garlic parm a lot more. As for the ice cream sandwich apparently they are homemade and it was very delicious because the ice cream was very thick.The atmosphere in there is also nice; the restaurant is cute and well-kept. The workers were nice and our food didn’t take too long to come out“

Their being right beside a big regional hospital, with people on any given day far more likely to be stressed out, including patients and hospital staff both, who might take a botched order far less kindly than I, probably motivates them to do right. I can appreciate that.Of course, a standard barometer for any take-out and especially fast food is not getting sick, and I haven't once in recent years felt ill after a meal from this Subway, so that's a plus no matter what.“

“Well had tried Jersey Mike's awhile back, but couldn't recall what we thought of it. Walked in and it smelled awesome, was very clean and the two young men working behind the counter were friendly and took great care of my order. My wife is picky when it come to sandwiches and she absolutely loved it!!! I think its better quality and tastiness to the Publix next door , my chicken philly doesn't look like much but it tasted amazing and worth even penny . We definitely will be going back for sure.“

“I first had Germain’s during an event that they catered. I do not claim to know if they still offer catering but you’re going to want to visit their 8th Ave location in Gainesville FL either way. Get a sandwich and fries. They also served water in glass bottles that you are free to take to your chosen table. They’re in a plaza with several other businesses. A record shop, Sunshine Records, a second hand shop called Flashbacks and just across a split parking lot is local gem that offers brunch and I believe more, Afternoon. Cypress & Grove is across the way and Serpentine is a kickass plant shop. As downtown Gainesville has expanded, some sweet spots are outside of University and Main. Take a chance and wander, there’s a huge arcade across from Germain’s called Bragging Rights, make an afternoon and enjoy yourself. Parking is ample. See ya out there.“
