“Wow I literally just finished my meal and went straight to yelp because the seafood was that good. It reminded me of Baja California but with gulf coast local seafood. I enjoyed the authentic food and environment. Ive been looking all over for a spot like this and I was lucky to have found this hidden gem. You can tell they cook from the heart. I ordered the 7 mares soup and every type of fish in the soup was extremely fresh and tasty. I also ordered the shrimp cocktail and fish ceviche which was also ridiculously good. Im already looking forward to going back.“

You don’t have to go to the depths of the sea to find a Pearl that genuinely highlights the flavors, beauty, and aroma of the sea, satisfying your palate with every bite. -- As a seasoned traveler who has explored 68 countries and 36 states, I approach restaurant reviews with four primary criteria: taste, presentation, ambiance, and service. My goal is to provide an impartial perspective, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects of dining at the establishment. -- 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 — The restaurant offers a cozy and sophisticated ambiance both indoors and outdoors, creating a vibrant vibe and a memorable experience for all occasions. Well-defined spaces throughout the restaurant and an artistic outdoor design offer opportunities for intimate dinners, social gatherings, and enjoyable spaces to share with friends, family, business professionals, and loved ones. -- 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 —We were greeted by the smiling hostess, who led us to a table by the window. Our server was quick to introduce herself, attentive, and a wealth of information to help us navigate the menu and find the best dining choices for our expectations and preferred food choices. -- 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 – We dined there during lunch, which provides a large variety of snacks, starters, shellfish, sandwiches, and entrees. We started with the Smoked Whitefish Spread and Garlic Shrimp before moving to our entrees, which included Scallops and Atlantic Salmon. -- 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 – Unfortunately, this is where there was a slight misstep. When ordering the garlic shrimp, the initial thought is that you would be presented with shrimp with an infusion and obvious flavoring of garlic. To our surprise, the dishes were disguised with an intense red pepper flavor, which created a discerning spice that was welcome. The heart of the dish was lost as all you could truly taste was the spiciness of the red pepper – failing to elevate the flavors of the shrimp and the garlic. What was an additional disappointment was that it was very difficult to enjoy the Whitefish Spread with the lingering taste of the spiciness of the red peppers. After guzzling down some water (and whiskey), I was able to enjoy the true elegance of the Whitefish Spread, which highlighted an amazing balance of smokiness, savory flavors, and creamy/smooth texture. The dish was even more elevated with onions, sweet peppers, capers, and sesame seeds. -- 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 – Only one word could truly describe the entrees – PERFECT. The chef was able to truly highlight the freshness, favors, and tenderness of the salmon and the scallops while pairing the seafood with the perfect blend of deep, complex flavors with purees that provide smooth textures, sweet flavors, and subtle buttery notes that complement the seafood rather than overpowering the dish. From the visual execution to the perfected flavor combinations, it offers sophistication and memorable taste with every bite! -- Simply put – just slightly short of perfection. While the dining experience had a minor imperfection, the entrees truly allowed us to walk away with an unforgettable experience that has us yearning to come back for more.“

“Probably one of the top restaurants in Tampa. Robert's service was perfect. Our entire dinner was amazing. Yellowtail sashimi was delightful, tried every oyster on the menu, warm goat cheese salad is to die for; filet was cooked perfectly and one of the best I have ever had; and scallops. Drinks were crafted beautifully. Things that could improve: I don't like hard butter with warm bread. Soft butter is soooo much better. Scallops were a little too fishy. Would not order again. My daughter ordered a spicy margarita. No spice. Keep the jalapeño in the drink. Consider myself an oyster connoisseur. A few of the oysters probably should not has been served. Or maybe they don't have an experienced shucker. But overall 10/10! Amazing dinner experience.“

“A must stop in the Brandon area. I honestly didn't think Brandon had restaurants of this caliber. It all seems very fast. Foodie in Brandon, but this place is intimate. Classy and just outright really good food. I went with the salmon and the Mrs went with the pesto. And I will say both entrees were top tier in taste. The lady that waited on us was attentive, friendly, and a joy to be served by.“

“The Shrimp & Company is a quaint seafood restaurant on the corner of 7th Ave and 22nd St in Ybor City. If you have walked past it headed for the restaurant across the street then you have missed the best seafood you could eat in Tampa. You have to try their Florida or Louisiana Steam Pot, any of the seafood baskets and their shrimp stuffed mondongo. The food and terrific service is worth another trip to the small family owned restaurant. Don’t miss it!“

“I grew up in Tampa, so I'm somewhat of a devil crab expert because I remember the original ones from 50+ years ago. These were not the same but they were decent. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we were given a free mango sushi while waiting. And the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend them, I've looked and haven't found a better devil crab other than Michelle's.“

“Visited twice while in Tampa for a convention, and both visits were exceptional. A big thank you to Devin and Andrew for being the perfect servers - your professionalism and courtesy were head and shoulders above any other place we ate at on our trip. While I really enjoyed the two "main" meals I had (the Gulf Gruper sandwich and the crab and shrimp enchiladas), I have to mention the teriyaki lightning wings...the sauce was so good I could have swum in it. Will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!“
