Iam completely disgusted and disappointed by the treatment I received at the Diplomat Hotel, specifically regarding the valet and parking staff. What should have been a simple and quick drop-off turned into one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have had in a long time.

Beautiful property and location, but service didn’t match expectations. I witnessed a concerning situation involving a distressed parent that didn’t seem to be handled with urgency. For families with children, I would expect a stronger focus on guest safety.
Filthy rooms and extremely expensive food without delivering high value. (Bonus: See photos below for the poop smear on the wall)
Unless The Diplomat gets their stuff together, this is an absolute never again for me. I was texting with the front desk staff for more than 24 hours before I got someone to address my problem. Playa Beach Bar & Grill is a fantastic casual beachfront bar and restaurant right on the water. It is definitely not fine dining, but a great poolside/ocean view bar that’s part of The Diplomat. Enjoy a snack or cocktail in a swimsuit or beach attire. The food is consistently great with good variety from grilled seafood, quesedilas and guacamole, and fresh Ahi Salad. Drinks like the piña colada and frosé are frozen and delicious, and the salsa and guac come with tortilla chips. The bar has a great view of the ocean along with tvs. There is an automatic 20% gratuity, but the bartenders and servers are super friendly and attentive. Servers Marcella, Roxy, Irving, and Christian make guests feel like friends. Martha went above and beyond to ensure a great time, and the hospitality was refreshing and unexpected. All servers work as a team and take great care of everyone.
