“My wife, mother-in-law, and I enjoyed a fantastic Mother’s Day brunch at Edward’s in Rosemary Beach. They’re typically only open for dinner, but we were fortunate to experience one of their special daytime brunches—and it was a standout from start to finish! Jimmy, the GM, welcomed us and had us seated quickly on their covered patio, which was perfect even with the steady rain. The chef created a beautiful brunch menu for the occasion, and our server, Kiyonta, was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We started with Deviled Eggs, the Seasonal Fruit Plate, and the Caesar Salad—each dish fresh, flavorful, and elegantly presented. For our entrées, we chose the Shrimp and Grits (incredible!), the Lox and Avocado, and Edward’s Omelet. Every bite was delicious, and the plating was as impressive as the flavors. We ended our meal with a trio of desserts: the housemade ice cream sandwich, crème brûlée, and key lime pie. Each one was delightful, but the ice cream sandwich may have stolen the show. “While attending a board meeting and on a lunch break I tried the grouper sandwich blackened. The crisp lettuce and tomato with a slice of red onion was delicious. But the aioli sauce made the tender thick fillet of awesome fish perfect. Seasoned just right and a bistro salad to start I wasn’t hungry for dinner till much later. It was fantastic! The salad with cranberry and cucumber and cherry tomatoes was amazing. The sliced toasted almonds were a nice touch. Blue cheese dressing on side of course. My server was very attentive and friendly. “I typically find that a location's Google rating is inflated, but that's definitely not the case for Pickle's, at least from our experience. We visited on a weekday in December, few other people there, and sat at The Sandbar. Calvin, the bartender, took care and time in giving us suggestions and just chatting about life, the area, traveling, and more - he made us feel welcomed and he was genuinely interested in getting to know us. We didn't have any of their drinks, but the food was stellar -- we tried the Smash Burger and Mac Attack Burger, alongside some Sweet Heat Wings -- all at Calvin's suggestion. It was all a winner.

Dining with these guys is like visiting a great friend who lives in another city - - a great friend who knows how took and who keeps a great wine inventory. Ha Ha. “Our first trip to Pescado was an unforgettable one! We had reservations and when we got there the hostess informed us that there was a seat outside if we wanted it. Little did we know, it was one of the best tables in the house! Our server was Hannah, and she was incredible! Her in depth of knowledge of the menu, and her ability to communicate it was impressive. Even more so, she wasn’t trying to “sell us” on anything. She answered our questions directly with granular details that enabled us to not only make a decision but to have the utmost confidence in what we were ordering. And SHE DIDN’T MISS! So often restaurants along 30A are trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible and that was simply not the case. Lastly, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Everything that we ordered was excellent. We’ve lived all over the country, from LA to Miami, and had the opportunities to eat at several high end restaurants (including many with Michelin stars) and Pescado absolutely competed with many of those. We’ve eaten at numerous places along 30A as we have been vacationing here for 11yrs and I can tell you with 100% confidence we will be back at Pescado next summer! “Cute little Airstream in Seaside where we got a All American grilled cheese. One of the last shops to close down, the service was fine, and the grilled cheese was phenomenal. It took a while to be prepared, but after taking the first bite, I could tell why... They cook that grilled cheese low and slow, getting the exterior of the bread nice and crispy while leaving the inside light and fluffy. The cheese steamed up all gooey. My only regret is not getting a picture of the cheese pull.“
