“It was our first time going, and we weren’t sure what to expect, but as we were pulling in the parking lot, a man rolled down his window and told us the food was awesome and to try the pork chops. We tried the simple starter. Bread, oil, and herbs. Simple but flavorful! Highly recommend I had the side summer salad and Krioyo pasta. The salad, no joke, was amazing. Full of color and flavor, might be the best salad I’ve ever eaten. The pasta was a generous serving, creamy and spicy with sausage and shrimp, full of flavor! My husband had the pork chops, cheese grits, and fries (I wish he got the collards instead of the fries, but it *was* his meal, so…). The cheese grits were a delicious surprise to me. So, so, so good. If we go back, I’m definitely ordering them (and the collards). The pork chops were, true to our parking lot critic’s word, awesome. I will definitely return. The atmosphere was laid back and wonderful, the food delicious, and the team members were fantastic. 10 out of 10 recommend! “This is a friendly locals place serving breakfast comfort foods you enjoyed growing up if you grew up in this area. It's no frills and therefore very reasonably priced. LOTS of tradesmen stop in for breakfast and lunch as they start the day given there's a builder's lumber and hardware store nearby. The food is fresh (the fries are home made, not frozen). The biscuits are some of the best I've had. Only shortfall is there's no restroom inside (have to use the convenience store that's adjacent). Small detriment, though, as the food is worth that slight inconvenience.

“I never do reviews, but this little bar & grill was awesome! The food was the best I’ve had in 30a. I’ve driven by it numerous times but we stopped today and so glad we did. Grilled shrimp tacos and the jalapeño margarita were wonderful. The service was top notch too!!“

“Philly is in the name, but I actually think some of the other menu options are better! A big plus is that they offer gluten-free buns, which is great to have as an option. Just a heads-up that the sweet potato fries come with cinnamon sugar, which was a surprise! The service wasn’t the friendliest when ordering for a large group, but overall, there are some good options on the menu.“

“Shelby’s is my new favorite spot! The food was amazing — we had the hamburger, bang bang shrimp, and nachos, and everything was delicious. The staff was wonderful, especially Michelle, who made the night extra fun. We went on Wednesday for bingo and had an absolute blast! As a local, I don’t usually write reviews, but this place deserves it. Great food, great people, and such a fun atmosphere — can’t wait to go back!“

“The sandwiches were pretty alright. They needed to be melted more, with all the cheese they add, but overall was pretty alright. One thing I would suggest is that they change their wrapping paper they are currently using because all that paper stuck to the bread and spent almost 10 minutes trying to peel it off. I drove a while to try this place to try the grilled cheese but don’t like to eat my food with paper on it. 🥴“

“We went here last night 6.19.25 & Paris was our waitress and she went above and beyond. This place was packed from the moment it opened, we were her first night table of 12& she instantly had a bigger table of 15 and she handled both with grace and the most professionalism! “We visited from Texas last week & I am still thinking about this coffee I had days later! I wish I could just pack them up and take them with me! The coconut cream cold brew was phenomenal! If you think you want the 16oz, nope… get the largest size they have! The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing! The baked goods were fresh & delish! The staff are friendly & helpful! “Bud & Alley's is the best waterfront dining in Seaside and likely all of 30A. The breakfast is particularly excellent, and the staff is attentive and kind. They fed our large group and everyone loved it. The Longleaf Writers Conference is a big fan of Bud & Alley's - a supporter of our local educational outreach program for ten years! (The rooftop bar for sunset can't be missed.)“
