“My family and I were headed on our way out of The Keys. We were looking for waterfront with some good reviews. We were so surprised to find this hidden gem. From start to finish, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The outdoor dining is creative with little water fountains and cute decor. The food was some of the best and freshest we found in the Keys. My husband loved the ribs, said they were “on point”. My sisters fish tacos were so fresh ..they had to have caught it that morning!? She raved about it. I have to say that my salad was one of the freshest I’ve ordered at a Seafood restaurant. Props to our waiter Steven, he was refreshingly funny and exceptionally attentive even though they were very busy. Some of the best service I’ve ever had to be honest! I don’t know how this place isn’t 5 stars? People Need to rate when it’s great too!! We will definitely be back!“

“Ok the place is not the most beautiful place but the food is on another level. I am Cuban and I know! The masitas de puerco were perfection, perfectly cooked on the outside and soft on the inside. The bistec de palomilla tasted as it should, citrusy and with its marinated onions. The yuca, moros and tostones on point. To be honest it’s the first time I have tostones in a restaurant that you can actually eat. They don’t have wine but you can BYOB. 10/10 !“

“This place is a great hole in the wall. It has a no frills ambiance, but our server was fantastic. We had the legendary conch fritter. It is huge and so perfect, with tender conch and a sweet type of batter. If you are an uptight picky pants, move right along.“

“A party of 4, we went for breakfast at 10am. Lucy was our server. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She was hands down one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had at any restaurant. We had a bad experience at another local restaurant the evening before and was kind of over key largo until we stumbled upon Sharkey’s/Lucy. The food was delicious too. Such an all around great experience we plan to go back for dinner.“

“Everything about Gilbert's Resort is perfect, we love driving the motorcycle there from Ft Lauderdale to spend the day or weekend. Great bands and food at the Tiki Bar always fun. Beautiful atmosphere on the water. I wish I could live there.“

“What a fun place! We sat outside on the patio facing the canal, the water was great, it rained a little but we were under the tiki hut so even right at the rail, we didn't get wet. The server (Derrick) was awesome, he helped us choose our meals, was very attentive, had a great personality. The food, well the good was excellent, we had peel and eat shrimp to start, it was liberally spiced, not sure with what but it was delicious, a little bite but I don't do spicy and this was not too hot, just good. Then for our entree, we shared the seafood platter, it too was very good. The shrimp in both dishes were HUGE, the fish was light and flaky, everything on the plate was just right.
