My dad and I both agreed the duck fried rice was absolutely stunning. The glaze on the duck leg is something very similar to a hoisin sauce, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The rice itself was great, with these cucumbers that had a nice taste and crunch and some peppers for a great, surprising spicy note. My mother had the steak, and said it was wonderful. I had a small piece of it, and it was certainly a great taste. I'd recommend the duck over the steak though, there's many places in the resort for great steak!

Desserts were impeccable; the little cookie on the cream tasted like a burnt samoa and that's a flavor I never knew I needed! The drinks were also great. I had the non-alcoholic orange specialty, it tasted just like an orange dreamsicle.

Only small service hiccup was when checking in for our reservation, the CM didn't actually check us in so we sat for 15 minutes past our reservation time before we noticed on the app we weren't checked in. When we brought it up, another CM promptly fixed it. No worries there!

Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Great use of a table service credit if you're on the DDP by the way; $45-55 a person meal/soda only before upgrades.“

“IF you’re looking for an amazing breakfast at Disney World, Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is absolutely worth the reservation. The food here truly stands out and feels like a little Hawaiian escape right in Florida.

We ordered the macadamia pancakes, and they were honestly something special — fluffy, rich, and different from your typical breakfast pancakes. They really gave that tropical Hawaii vibe. The loco moco was delicious and tasted incredibly authentic. But the absolute standout was the Samoan Benedict. We haven’t seen this dish at other Hawaiian restaurants before, and it was unique, flavorful, and an absolute must-try.

The service was perfect from start to finish. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which made the experience even better. Food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and beautifully prepared.

The restaurant itself was very clean, and the chairs were surprisingly comfortable. It’s not an intimate or quiet atmosphere — it can get a little loud — but honestly, the food more than makes up for it.

Definitely make a reservation because this place is popular for good reason. Kona Café ended up being one of our favorite breakfasts at Disney World!“

“What a strange place to find good sushi. This place is hidden in the food court of an outlet mall, sitting in a row of tiny restaurants (e.g., a Brazilian place that sells pizza). “We got a barbecue combo for two, and the food was delicious, and quick to make. Since we had never cooked these specific meats before the waiter volunteered to help us make sure everything was ready and even showed us a couple of different ways to cut the meat to get different kinds of flavor from the short ribs. Overall the service was good, fast, and very helpful. Will definitely return. And the barbecue is definitely a little pricey but they give very generous portions, and you can take whatever you don’t eat home, so it’s more than worth the price. Don’t miss out on the desert either, the Korean fried pancake is amazing.“

“We were the only people there on a Tuesday night. It's very unusual for Orlando restaurants. The sushi was delicious, service was fast, and the presentation was beautiful. On the downside, they didn't ask us if we had a reservation for the evening when we walked in. When I made the reservation, I mentioned we were going to celebrate my wife's birthday, thinking management would read the notes and throw in a nice surprise. But they didn't provide anything. I don't drink alcohol, but my wife ordered sangria, which is usually a light alcoholic drink, but this time it was like table wine, a strong spirit. I think you should double-check before ordering alcohol.“

They give you free fried thai donuts if you give them a review as well. Toilets are clean. The kitchen is open so you can see what they are doing if you want to. The floor was a bit sticky and the seats by the window side are a bit low / tilted. Everyone is friendly and the food is good! We spent 27$ for two meals only (nothing else ordered). Good prices.“

I have been addicted to Chinese takeout wings forever, but can never find the quality that I used to get. This place brought back memories. Chicken was crunchy outside and juicy inside. They do the rice differently then most around here, more like the prep I do for my coconut fried rice at home, a nice buttery glisten with very tasty pork pieces. I tried a regular egg roll and a steak and cheese. The gimmick one is okay but I prefer the regular. It was tightly sealed, not a grease bomb and good flavor. Pairs perfectly with the hot mustard. If you stay consistent with this then I will be a loyal longtime customer. Delicious!

But my most recent visit I must admit Server Mustafo (Sorry if I misspelled his name). Mustafo was BY FAR the best Server I’ve had in Islands in a while. And that’s saying a lot. Because a lot (if not all) the Servers) in Islands are AMAZING!! But Mustafo set the bar MUCH HIGHER. Mustafo ensured that we were taken care of the whole time. And made us feel like we were at home. Everything I have had has been delicious from the miso soup starter, the banchan, their bibimbap and their rose tteokbokki. I come back any time I am Florida for the food.
