“I loved this place. Overlooking Lake Hamilton with plenty of outdoor seating 💺 and Tiki Bar. The brewery is small and quaint with two levels to enjoy your surroundings. They had one of the World Cup matching inside and outside on a large screen. A thunderstorm rolled in which was to me a pleasant experience. The civiche was really good, some of the best I've ever had. The California rolls were not as good as we've had.“

Nutwood in Lakeland just keeps delivering flavor punches straight to the taste buds like a cheerful boxer who really likes you. The Spanish octopus? Holy tentacle takeover. It’s the kind of dish that makes you whisper “I’m not worthy” between bites while your dinner companion side-eye you. 11/10, would let it ruin all other octopus for me. I’d never thought I’d say this in a grown-up restaurant, but Dr. Seuss himself would’ve dropped his hat and applauded: I would eat them here or there, I would eat them anywhere! “The appetizers are all amazing. She recommended the fried jalepenos and they were sooooo good. Not spicy but full of flavor. The nachos with beef were great, the cheese curds were so good. The food was ok. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant. the steaks were lackluster and thin. probably more like a 5 ounce ribeye than 8. Just lacked flavor. My husband liked his chicken fried chicken. The brown gravy needs work. I don't think that was homemade. Tasted jarred. The collard greens were excellent with the special pepper vinegar they have. The boys didn't like their food. They ordered a wrap, a mushroom swiss burger and bbq. My daughter loved her chicken and my son's hot dog was huge. The prices were really high for what you get. The apps are worth it, though. We stopped here because as usual, Cherry Pocket was slammed. Gotta get there early. The lady who waited on us was a bit abrupt towards my son for not speaking loud enough. She fussed at him. He is 16 and had a brain injury when he was younger. He cannot speak louder. We actually almost walked out because of her attitude towards him. She even looked at him and was like um no you weren't. The place is loud, anyway. We probably will not be back. But again, the apps are good.“

“We love coming to this place, especially when Maria, one of the managers, is here because she is so pleasant. Her service is great, she's always on top of everything, and if there’s anything wrong with the food, she takes care of it herself. “This was hands down the best barbecue/soul food I’ve had in a long time. The wings are perfectly crispy but slightly smoky and I’m not sure the sauce but it’s a good balance of heat and sweet. The bbq chicken was moist but still had a great smoke and the sauce paired was excellent. The sides though are a show stopper, we went back for extra greens because they reminded us of our grandmother. My husband that doesn’t like beans loved these. And the Mac and cheese…. So gooey and just delicious. My wallet might be in danger. 🤣“

“I lived in Lake Wales for over twenty years and I love Al’s Place the friendliest bar in town, remind me of the old tv show “Cheers “ when everyone knows your name. The beer is cold, the food delicious and they give you plenty. On your first trip there you will get initiated with the yardstick and become a member of the family group. My son and daughter got me back in Pennsylvania as I age to see that I have proper care, but promise me every so often the would bring me back to Lake Wales to visit all my old friend. Looking forward to February at when they celebrate the the holiday Mardi Gras and have a great time with all my old friends…..It’s a pleasure…Thank You.“

Oxtails…greens..Mac n cheese…shrimp fettuccine…fried shrimp…lemon pepper wings..and the seasoning on the fries…he got me with that one…best fries ever. Everything was good. “My wife and I enjoy eating at Culver’s, but I’ve recently had a couple of disappointments. We have been purchasing the pints of ice cream in their freezer to take home with us, only to be very disappointed when the ice cream inside is nothing like what it’s supposed to be.An example, my chocolate volcano was supposed to have different things in it , but when I ate it, there was nothing but chocolate custard in it no little M&M’s no chocolate pieces no cake no cookies no nothing. I I talked to one of the employees and explained everything and she was very polite and acted like I would maybe get a another one to replace it for free but once she went back to talk to the manager, he said no.. I was very disappointing especially when pints are like six dollars each. From now on My Wife and I will buy our ice cream at either Walmart or Publix . It’s a lot less expensive and you actually get what you pay for.“

“We ate here tonight after a long and satisfying day at Legoland with our kids. The food was on point. (Deluxe double burger and kids meals with vanilla and carmel pecan custards). I needed to specifically highlight the staff, who were super kind and patient with us and our small children; none of us knew the menu well, and they took time to answer our rookie questions without showing any impatience, esp on new year's eve a couple hours before closing. I wanted to also specifically highlight the black man who worked the counter tonight and took our order; he acted like he genuinely cared and took pride in what he does- I am sorry I dont remember his name, but he was fantastic in every way. I should have tipped him (I know tipping isn't required) and now I regret not. But the food, service, and cleanliness were all excellent. Thanks for making our last meal out of 2025 a really good one.“
