“Amelia is great. You get a lot more for your money if you know what I mean. The Boom Boom Shrimp appetizer is excellent. The foods have changed and it is so good. It's nice to come to an non-smoking place inside and get a nice sized drink for your money. When you walk in you smell cleanliness. “A group of us went out on a bicycling journey, & lunch time hit. Someone suggested we divert to Luke's. I'm always game to try a new place, & this was a winner. We cycled up to the outdoor covered porch part of the restaurant, & seated ourselves. A personable waitress came out & soon our meals arrived. I ordered a Sweet Chili Burger with potato salad. My only complaint was I ordered the burger medium well, but the burger arrived very much undercooked with lots of red in it. I debated saying something, but I was so hungry I went for it. The burger was absolutely delicious. The beef had to be at least 1/3 pound. The sauce & onions were a fantastic combo as a topping. The potato salad seemed homemade & was much better than store-bought. I'd return again for a burger in the future. And when I do, I'll try again to get it cooked medium well.“
“First time at BIG Jim's for my dad and I ... MY uncle was there too and made the suggestion to us. Started out good.. nice place... 30 plus beers on tap. I couldn't try them because it was lunch and I had a long day ahead (but it will). Waiter Jason stopped by and got us drinks and was really patient while we waited for my uncle. He offered appetizers too... Dad and I had the buffalo chicken sandwiches and uncle had the Ceasar wrap. We all loved the food (especially the sweet potato fries) ... The service was top notch. Really attentive without being over the top. In fact perfect. Then offered desert ... WE were full but dad took a rice pudding home ...Jason even gave him instructions how to heat it up at home which was what he did and loved it. Overall it was a 10 plus rating ... If this place were on the beach you'd have standing room only. Sort of a locals place, probably little know but its still walking distance fron the beach. The waitress were very attentive but not bothersome, friendly and treat you like family. The food was great. they have a good variety of food but it's not overwhelming like so.e places. I think you'll be happy. If we had this place where I live.... believe me, it would be packed. The manager actually cares about his customers and what you think. Bottom line..... “Ok if you're looking for a place with a mixologist and fancy cocktails you're not gonna get it. If you're looking for cheap drinks and smoke inside yep you'll get that. They've upgraded the menu since I started coming in. They've got an air fryer, toaster oven and a George Forman grill. They can make pizza burgers fries and wings now. The pizza is decent they offer a limited number of toppings but if you forgot to eat before drinking or are hungry while drinking you've got some options. The service is great they actually come say hey no matter how busy they stop by and say hi. If you're not a regular they know and will spend a little extra time with you. They have karaoke on Friday nights and most people are pretty good. If you're in Clearwater and wanna hang with some locals stop in. If you're looking to get out the house and go to a neighborhood dive bar stop on in.“
“Just a cool bar. Nice blend of demographics, lots of space for games nice log bar and the bartender (Abbie) was awesome. I've bartended for over 25 years and did not expect her to be as good as she was for her age. Also I hate to say but a lot of female bartenders aren't worth a damn, they think that their looks will get them by and generally it does. Abbie had it all looks, personable, knowledgeable, and made a SUPER solid Old Fashioned. One of the best I've had and not the way I generally prefer them.“

I did not like the automatic 19% surcharge since better to let customers pick their own tip amount.“

They use Boars Head meat. I had the Spicy Italian, and my husband had a customized roast beef. I will 100% stop again on the way to the beach.“
