I had the whole branzino (not pictured BC the photo was too blurry) it came with the Greek salad. We shared the wild mushrooms and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They also have a fabulous selfie mirror in the ladies room 😍 Our waitress Alexandra was amazing and even brought us a free dessert to celebrate 🥳“

We ordered fried oysters, French fries, and cheese grits, and everything was absolutely delicious. The oysters were fried to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flavorful inside. The cheese grits were just the way I like them—nice and thick—and the fries were a great complement to the meal. Even better, our food arrived quickly and fresh. Our waitress, Lilly, was fantastic, providing friendly and attentive service. We also appreciated how the rest of the staff greeted us warmly as we walked through the restaurant. It’s little details like that that make a place feel extra welcoming. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept, including the bathrooms, which is always a big plus. Anna Maria Oyster Bar now has four locations, and after this experience, I’d definitely visit again. Local? they'll treat you like a tourist which you would think they would be good to because they are the suckers they are dying to get in. " Hi how long for 2 people"? an hour to an hour and a half out of season.... no "I'm sorry, the wait is over an hour" nope you get "Fair enough" when you say you don't want to wait that long. no reservations yet some dude with a party of 4 just walked right in and was seated.... over rated is an understatement. “After reading some amazing reviews, we decided to give the place a try. We were hesitant because of the location but still tried it. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! This was the most amazing, flavorful seafood! “Our favorite place! We go a few times a month for NE steamers, and occasionally a few other items! Today we both had NE steamers, I had a bowl of Manhattan clam chowder and my boyfriend had whole belly fried clam plate. The chowder was delicious. I have had Manhattan chowder a few other places but this was chuck full of clams and ingredients! Our server told me they make all chowder and soups homemade. Next time I’ll try NE chowder, only reason I didn’t was because I can’t have flour and most have that in it My boyfriend also loved his clams and we both always love the steamers. They have a fish market also so you can get something to take home and cook for the next evening! We always sit at the bar. All servers are friendly and polite. We have been there tons of times and always had excellent service and fabulous food! Prices are very reasonable and we highly recommend Captain Brian’s! They are closed on Sundays . Love love this gem of a place!!“

“First time ever going here but the food is AMAZING! It was so good! Probably the best seafood boil I’ve had. Some of the down sides about my experience was the atmosphere can be very overwhelming. It’s REALLY loud in there. Too much happening at one time. There is a lady that comes to your table and has you posed for pictures which was really awkward but on the plus side you get a free picture. Also our waitress which I think was named Cynthia, was not great. We ordered an appetizer that we never got until probably 20 minutes after our food, we barely saw her ever, had to get her attention when she passed by to get drink refills. Anything we asked her to bring us we had to wait minimum 15 minutes to get if not longer. I would definitely eat here again but probably to go only.“

“Took a leap of faith on this restaurant on a one day visit to Sarasota with a dear friend. Downtown location puts Selva Grill right in the heart of a very nice part of the city away from the tourist area. Nice bar with great bartenders and superbly crafted drinks. We sat just off the bar at a window and enjoyed watching the place fill up as our dinner progressed. Our server, Eric, was OUTSTANDING. Attentive to our needs and requests, kept our water glasses full and paced our meal so we could savor every course. Appetizers and Ceviches are incredible and our Sea Bass and Lamb chop entrees were a feast for eyes and palate. We will happily drive from Naples to Sarasota again soon just to enjoy this great venue.“
