“We always say "We don't feel like we are in Florida , until we go to Micelli's" We went there 4/1/25. An excellent, friendly hostess greeted us. Had a wonderful seat by the water. We loved the breeze, boats going by, superb clam chowder, pizza and music. Great service by our waitress. Glad to be back on Matlache. Parking is tricky. We got there early. We love and recommend it highly. A favorite Florida experience. We will be back.😎😎“

“My husband and I just enjoyed dinner there this past Saturday and my goodness!!!.. we were not only blown away by the food, wine and dessert; but the service Kelci provided! The Mullett 3 ways appetizer was incredible. The coconut encrusted mahi with pina colada rice (and don’t even get me started on the crispy scallions!) was DEVINE. To finish off with the PERFECT key lime pie was just…well, perfect! We love Blue Dog, can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back and truly ask for Kelci; so on it, so sweet, no rushing, helpful etc. everything positive!“

“We came twice in one week it was so good. They are fast paced with service and the seafood is absolutely impeccable. I will be returning every time we are in Cape Coral. The owners, two brothers, stopped at every table to ensure things were to each customers liking, even though the place was crazy busy. I will be dreaming of a he lobster and scallops for New York.“

You will encounter some great cooks and some attentive servers who will make your visits habit-forming!“

I have visited this place since it opened its doors and it was only half the size it is now... and it is understood that with time and inflation the prices have had to increase but it is already somewhat exaggerated... some things have increased 200% in price. price. Currently I rarely go for this reason and I know many people who agree with me and are no longer regular customers.“

“I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food was amazing. The atmosphere and love was beyond what you would expect. I can't wait to go back. I want to try every single dish on the menu. I read the review about the vodka sauce and the recovering alcoholic. Why the f....k would you even consider ordering that dish in the first place??? You are playing games with yourself. Really, you cried at the table?? The owners are hard working people. There are erasers on pencils for a reason. Or maybe you don't know what an eraser is. I would have thrown your a** out wah wah wah!! And the other idiot with the chicken wings, you don't come to an Italian restaurant and ask for chicken wings. Go to Kentucky Fried chicken you arsh hole! Anyway I loved the gnocchi with cream sauce, which is what I had. I needed to sample the gravy, (yes we Italians can it gravy), so I had a meatball too! Totally recommend! Jill the owner is the sweetest person you will ever meet. Make a reservation it fills up real fast!“

“Cool old school nautical bar, restaurant. My resident hosts said best on island. Away I went for Sunday brunch,lunch.

My hosts said try the fish. Catch of the day. Etc etc. I ordered triple tail platter. I'm from Boston so I have no idea what a triple tail is. I asked for grilled fillet. Small thin serving. Reminded me of TV ad...." where's the beef." Good yet could have eaten 2x.

Platter came with fries and small serving of coleslaw. Coleslaw was good, IMHO.

good local beer, attentive service, ( I sat at the bar). One dollar bills on the ceiling. ( I did not ask). Very good vibe. Why is fish so expensive on an island. I would return to investigate alt. Items on menu.“

“Our group of 8 tried Chef Rocco’s Misto. Having been to the previous version of Misto, we all agreed Chef Rocco is the real deal. The specials were beyond what we expected and the regular menu is terrific. Misto’s definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be visiting frequently.“

“Nice place. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our ice tea full and remembered to keep plenty of Splena on the table. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad. I am a Cobb Salad fan and order one where ever I go. This one was huge and I mean a 12” plate piled on. All of the individual components were plentiful 5 grilled shrimp on top, tons of cherry tomatoes, a half a pig of bacon, bleu cheese, onions, and the rest were stacked high. Only thing that would have made it better would be chopped greens. I had to get a “kitty bag” for later. Desert was their Banana Bread Pudding with toasted bananas. Again huge could have shared it with 3. Wife ordered Crème Brûlée which she wouldn’t share. Only bump was wife’s entre, Dolphin fish came out topped with tomatoes which she is deathly allergic (not mentioned on the menu) but not to worry, they made her another lickety split. Two entrées, appetizer, ice tea, desert and nice tip came to just under $100 about average for a decent Cape Coral restaurant. Big smiles on this one.????“

“We have been to here a few times while coming to sanibel every August! We love it. But this year, we loved It so much we ate it three days in a row! Food is by far the best on Captive Island and service is out of this world! Do yourself a favor and don’t sleep on this place! It’s our new favorite! “I don’t really remember the food a whole lot, but what I can tell you is that I bought a tee shirt from this place over ten years ago and it has been the highest quality tee shirt I’ve ever owned! Wash after wash, it just refuses to die! No bacon neck, no stretching out, no fading… nothin. If you are ever in the area, please consider purchasing a tee shirt from this establishment. If they are anywhere near the same quality as the one I have, it may still look as good as the day you bought it when you are wearing it in your final hours on earth.
