“My husband and I just enjoyed dinner there this past Saturday and my goodness!!!.. we were not only blown away by the food, wine and dessert; but the service Kelci provided! The Mullett 3 ways appetizer was incredible. The coconut encrusted mahi with pina colada rice (and don’t even get me started on the crispy scallions!) was DEVINE. To finish off with the PERFECT key lime pie was just…well, perfect! We love Blue Dog, can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to go back and truly ask for Kelci; so on it, so sweet, no rushing, helpful etc. everything positive!“

“Not only did he come to my home and was extremely professional, but made it a wonderful event!! I have had steaks from here to California up to Canada and back down here to Florida… nobody makes a stake like this man!! he does a reverse sear and everything has done to perfection along with the sides. “Great food but most importantly, great people make this restaurznt the best of it's kind anywhere in SW Florida. Shrimp portions are generous and if you like real southern cooking. Their authentic gumbo and creole jambalaya will warm your heart. If you happen to want an even warmer heart, you can up the heat with the ghost pepper version. You will encounter some great cooks and some attentive servers who will make your visits habit-forming!“

“I was disappointed that the hostess and server where unaware and did not care about the information provided through open table when I made my reservation. I was offered the choice of inside or outside. I selected outside and when I arrived she tried to sit us inside. She then acted like it was a chore to set us up outside. There is also an option to select a special occasion. I selected birthday. There was not a mention of my birthday. Just sad and disappointing when you are asked and there is no acknowledgement. I also don't understand why the server packed up the appetizer and then just set boxes in the table for entrees. It was uncomfortable. My mother is 80. I'm not telling her she can't take her leftovers. So I boxed them up. We love Tween and have been celebrating my birthday there for 7 years (- the hurricane interruptions). The people and service has always been great. I just feel there is a disconnect with this app. Or something“

“It is one of the few places open, from what we saw driving around. The island is sadly still dealing with the aftermath of the hurricanes. \nWe loved RC Otter's! \nMy husband and I came for a late breakfast - we were sat immediately, they had live music which was great and the ambiance is a laid back-island vibe. Service was friendly...albeit a bit slow but we weren't in a rush by any means. The French toast was some of the best I've ever had. Super fresh and so yummy - husband loved it also. He had the eggs and ham which he loved as well. Easy parking in their parking lot onsite also. Note...you won't find much parking in the area. We would absolutely love to come back on our next trip.“

“We were greeted by Diva in the gift shop, then our hostess who gave us a beautiful water view. Our server was Erica, and her name tag said she was originally from Port Huron, MI which immediately set the positive mood since three of our party of four had Michigan ties. One of our party just casually mentioned we were celebrating when asked what brought us to Rumrunners. \n\nErica did an awesome job of explaining the special catch of the day as well as describing other dishes which she had sampled during her three months of working at Rumrunners. All were as she described and all were delicious. Some of us ordered dessert and then were pleasantly surprised when Erica also brought a wonderful piece of chocolate cake (complimentary of course) to celebrate our special occasions which she had remembered hearing about. All in all she made it a wonderful evening. \n\nThen as we headed out, my husband wanted to look at the Rumrunners logo shirts and we were re-greeted by Diva at the gift shop. What a fun spirit with her British accent, her perseverance in finding just the right shirt, and sealing the deal with a free coozie AND a couple hilarious jokes 😄. We smiled all the way to our car and these two employees made our evening very special. Thank you both.“

Probably the best catfish platter I have had since New Orleans. Not overpowering breading, perfectly seasoned. Do yourself a favor and try this place.“

I read the review about the vodka sauce and the recovering alcoholic. Why the f....k would you even consider ordering that dish in the first place??? You are playing games with yourself. Really, you cried at the table?? The owners are hard working people. There are erasers on pencils for a reason. Or maybe you don't know what an eraser is. I would have thrown your a** out wah wah wah!! And the other idiot with the chicken wings, you don't come to an Italian restaurant and ask for chicken wings. Go to Kentucky Fried chicken you arsh hole! Anyway I loved the gnocchi with cream sauce, which is what I had. I needed to sample the gravy, (yes we Italians can it gravy), so I had a meatball too! Totally recommend! Jill the owner is the sweetest person you will ever meet. Make a reservation it fills up real fast!“

“Nice place. Our waitress was very attentive, kept our ice tea full and remembered to keep plenty of Splena on the table. I ordered the Seafood Cobb Salad. I am a Cobb Salad fan and order one where ever I go. This one was huge and I mean a 12” plate piled on. All of the individual components were plentiful 5 grilled shrimp on top, tons of cherry tomatoes, a half a pig of bacon, bleu cheese, onions, and the rest were stacked high. Only thing that would have made it better would be chopped greens. I had to get a “kitty bag” for later. Desert was their Banana Bread Pudding with toasted bananas. Again huge could have shared it with 3. Wife ordered Crème Brûlée which she wouldn’t share. Only bump was wife’s entre, Dolphin fish came out topped with tomatoes which she is deathly allergic (not mentioned on the menu) but not to worry, they made her another lickety split. Two entrées, appetizer, ice tea, desert and nice tip came to just under $100 about average for a decent Cape Coral restaurant. Big smiles on this one.????“

“Restaurant setting gets a 5, food gets a 3, which equals a 4 overall. Really nice marina setting in Bokelia. The venue is small but has a nice vibe, views, and service. The food was another story. Two of us had grouper sandwiches, and two of us had grouper platters (no bun). The sandwiches were (reportedly) OK, but the platters were not. The grouper in the platters was like small dried-out dollar pancakes. It's very disappointing for a restaurant chain that has been a mainstay in the area for many years. The operation on McGregor is not like this one. (food-wise).“

“Our group of 8 tried Chef Rocco’s Misto. Having been to the previous version of Misto, we all agreed Chef Rocco is the real deal. The specials were beyond what we expected and the regular menu is terrific. Misto’s definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be visiting frequently.“
