“My wife and I recently had the pleasure of trying the tasting menu here, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Palma is a truly special place. Along with Ariette, it stands out as one of the two best restaurants in Miami.
The food is outstanding. Creative, deeply flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu changes monthly, which makes every visit feel fresh and worth repeating. There’s not much else to say other than bravo.
A very special mention goes to the sommelier. I didn’t catch his name, but his talent is undeniable. If the food was among the best we’ve had, the wine pairing was easily the best we’ve ever experienced. I typically avoid funky, skin-contact, or natural wines, but this pairing completely changed my perspective. Each wine was not only delicious but genuinely interesting and full of character, and every pairing felt thoughtful and precise. These are wines I would happily add to a home cellar. Truly incredible.
The value is also remarkable. We paid around $200 per person including the wine pairing, which feels like a steal. If this restaurant were in Brickell or Miami Beach, the price would likely be double or triple. Even then, it would still be worth it.
We can’t wait to return to Palma to explore their à la carte offerings.“

“Stopped here during a layover at MIA and was honestly surprised at how good the food was for an airport restaurant. The portions are huge and everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. I had the jerk chicken with rice and plantains, and the flavors were excellent with just the right amount of spice.
The staff was friendly and patient while explaining the menu, especially since there are a lot of great options to choose from. Seating is limited, but the food definitely makes it worth the stop. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had at an airport.“

“This is a hidden gem of Miami. One of the greatest restaurants I’ve been to. It has a very unique Vietnamese menu and every dish is different, unique and sooo flavorful. The service is great, a lot of young people working there and the place runs smoothly although is always very busy. I recommend going with a reservation. The desserts surprise me and also the restrooms!! Go and check it out!!!“

“I'm excited that a fine dining restaurant is walking distance from my home. The staff were kind to me as a solo diner. Whereas many restaurants these days won't offer reservations for parties of one, they not only took the reservation, but also messaged me to see if I was OK sitting at the chefs counter or if I would prefer a table. Like Michelin starred Boia De, they offered me ½ portions of appetizers so I could try more of the menu (I did not have to ask for this, the waitress spontaneously offered). I found the food well-prepared and elegant. Great flavors with simple presentations and preparations. The lime leaf infused ganache on the dessert was the most novel thing I've tried this year. I look forward to my next visit.“

“Disco fish is worth the money, but it has been the same for years now. I went with my family and if my wife liked it you know it is good because she can be somewhat picky...since she said she would go back...then it deserves 5 stars. “As we were staying at the Dua Hotel, we dined in the restaurant on arrival. We were greeted warmly and offered a choice of where to sit. We shared a couple of pizzas which were delicious and we were served by Cathi who was both engaging and professional in looking after us. Indeed she also took care of us the next day during “apertivo hour” and once again her service and willingness to interact with us was delightful.
We were extremely impressed with the restaurant both in terms of food, service & ambience and would not hesitate to recommend. We shall certainly make for the venue next time we find ourselves in Miami.“

“Ogawa in Miami is one of the few places in the city that truly feels authentically Japanese, not just in ingredients and technique, but in the discipline behind the pacing, the restraint in seasoning, and the respect for balance.
As someone who’s married into Japanese culture (and is honestly very picky about Japanese food), I pay attention to the details: rice temperature and texture, knife work, the way each bite finishes, and whether the flavors stay clean instead of relying on heavy sauces. Ogawa gets it right. Everything feels intentional, elegant, precise, and quietly luxurious.
The experience is polished without feeling stiff: thoughtful service, a calm, refined atmosphere, and food that speaks for itself. If you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in Miami that’s genuinely high level and not “Japanese-inspired,” Ogawa is an easy recommendation.“
