“Wow! We are blown away with Marquesa hotel. From the beautiful king suite poolside room, to the delicious cookies at noon, and the amazing staff… Great job! “Usually the hotel bar is just ok HOWEVER this spot was AWESOME! Staff were very friendly! Drinks were cold and delicious. Never a wait and always quick service. Now I cannot begin to tell you how AMAZING the coconut shrimp was. OMG. Best shrimp I’ve ever had hands down. The Thai sauce that it’s served with is phenomenal. We had it everyday during our stay. “Top level customer service and a taste that has to be tasted. As a foodie from New Orleans I tend to have higher expectations in service and taste and SO7 excels in every category. I’ve only been able to eat at around 30 or so restaurants in the few months I’ve lived here and SO7 has topped the all. Chef paul killing it behind the flames and the guys up front taking care of service from top to bottom. The crème de la crème in my book is the refreshing central AC. Nobody likes sweat dripping into your food after working all day and good AC is hard to come by in the lower keys. It’s my go to after work dinner and drinks. Pleasant experience all around.“

“Hands down the best meal we have ever had in Key West! We had the whole fried snapper and mojo pork taco. Both were spectacular! Rodney was our server who greeted us with a bright smile and even offered our dog some water. He was attentive, professional and gave great recommendations. “Somewhere in that bar, you will find a painted plaque dedicated to Capt Mark Gamble, he and his wife perished on a vessel that was modified in Key West. Captain Paul Worthington was so touched by their story he allowed a painted plaque to be placed in his bar, You as a person from afar are allowed to drink here not knowing the history of the great masters who sat here like Hemmingway and Mel Fisher met their demise thur their love of the ocean. I miss all of these men dearly, I am shedding tears for all as I write this story. You are fortunate to sit in their shadow and consume drinks in a place where only the greatest of men have hollowed. This is not your normal bar, this is a shrine to men who loved the ocean and have perished. You should feel privileged to sit and drink here.“
