Starbucks in Ocoee

“This is a positive review, even if it doesn’t start that way!

The drinks I get here are always inconsistently made. Wide range of outcomes of flavors and textures of what should be standardized production items. I’ve never left a review before but have meant to leave a negative one.

I’ve mostly just decided to avoid ordering here for a while, but I was in a rush and mobile ordered to grab and run today.

I thought my drink would be ready when I arrived, but I didn’t see it there. I looked behind the counter to see if I could spot it nearly being finished. But I didn’t even see my cup lined up there.

Martina, an employee, noticed me looking. After telling her my name and order, she found my mobile order ticket that had printed but had been missed somehow. It was just sitting there untouched. My espresso had been brewed and then nothing else had been done, clearly for a bit.

I got a little bit visibly frustrated, and Martina jumped into action. She apologized genuinely for the mishap. She asked if I was late, as I’m guessing was apparent from my demeanor at the time. I told her yes (which I was). She moved with real purpose and effort and made my drink really quickly.

It meant a lot that she did t get annoyed or dismissive when I showed that I was in a hurry and was now going to suffer for the mistake. She was very genuine in her apology and showed great empathy in rushing to get my drink made so I could leave as quickly as possible.

To top it all off, the drink is perfectly made, too.

“I'm so excited that the unicorn 🦄 drink came back this weekend! It was definitely a full circle moment, my mother passed in 2023, the last time i got this drink I was with my mother when it first came out. Today, I took my daughter and got us both one & it was delicious as I remembered 😋 truly was a great day!“

“Jeff and his team were great the carmel macchiato was exactly how I like it I couldn’t have made it better myself. Peanut never finishes her vanilla bean but she loved it too. Not to mention after traveling up and down the east coast i am becoming increasingly thankful of the consistent “snacks” w/o having to go to far and peanut was thankful for the banana nut bread and cheese trio box. I think we are both getting a bit home sick of normalcy at this point lol.“
