Located in the heart of Carrollwood next to Tampa Wine Room, where we held our reception, they were the perfect fit for our celebration. Joe and his team did an exceptional job from start to finish. The food was outstanding, beautifully prepared, and served with such care. Our guests could not stop talking about it and kept going back for more. Several people told us they plan to come back and dine there, which says everything. We are so grateful for the incredible service and delicious food that helped make our wedding day so special. “It was a super casual, themed restaurant with the blinds pulled down, making it dark and cool. We had the cajon seasoned seafood boil, which was delicious and a side of fries. Server was new, but still knew the menu well. The iced tea was fresh. It was super slow, so everything arrived quickly and I recommend the experience!“

I totally fell in love with this cozy little spot tucked into a plaza. The vibe feels super nice, like a fancy restaurant but still really welcoming, with awesome service, great food, and live music that made everything even better. And the prices? Actually pretty reasonable!

Now let’s talk about the food because WOW. The menu is huge — it’s way more than just chicken and beef. There’s seafood everywhere, tons of ceviche options, and everything we tried was seriously delicious.

The fried red snapper was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The fish was huge and full of flavor. Definitely get the green fried plantains too!

We also had the Pescado a lo Macho — seafood in this delicious lime-coconut sauce — and the cilantro rice was so good.

But the absolute star of the night was the Causa Acevichada Fish… seriously, SO good. It’s perfectly seasoned mashed potato layered with tuna in the middle, topped with fish ceviche, thin onions, and this amazing lime sauce on the side. I could eat that every single week.

We also tried their traditional purple corn juice made with cinnamon and clove, and honestly, it was surprisingly really good.

I never really thought much about Peruvian food before, and now I feel like I’ve been missing out. I’ll definitely be back because there are way too many things on that menu I still want to try.

And the service? Some of the best we’ve had in a long time. I wish we had gotten our server’s name because she was awesome.

“When I tell your you these were so good! I was amazed . I'm Haitian and eat Akra and marinade all of the time, but these are definitely different. I wanted more but I don't need a wide back. Only thing that upset me about this restaurant is the drinks aren't priced fairly THREE DOLLARS FOR A TWELVE OUNCE CAN OF Jipina is INSANE! Our local Haitian market not to far from the restaurant sells them for a DOLLAR! THERES NO WAY! But I love my Haitian people and support Haitian business but we got to do better in certain areas of morality. This was criminal. I'm not sure if it's because it's also a bar but anyway food was good, I'll just avoid the drinks lol when I visit.“
