“It’s a take-out only place since 2021.
I order just for myself, and spend $45-$50 just so I can make five or six lunchtime portions and a dinner portion too (and freeze them.) It’s that good. it is definitely the best Asian/Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to in the US.“

“Celebrated our wedding anniversary here on a Friday evening (Halloween of all nights). Greeted by friendly hostess and quickly seated (reservation not necessary but I planned ahead and scheduled anyway). Had Mongolian Beef with rice and husband had Chicken Broccoli dish. Both were very tasty and plentiful. We would both order again. Isaiah, our server, was very friendly and attentive. He even surprised us with a decadent Key Lime pie dessert in honor of our anniversary. Do ask for him. Nice man!“

Yes, they have been times where there was a kid doing his homework off to the side so that means this place hits.“

“We order from New Bamboo consistently because we are never disappointed. I have been to many other Chinese restaurants in this area for many years and this is still my favorite. Usually we do take out and New Bamboo is an excellent choice for that. I especially like the shrimp dishes . They are big and taste fresh.The portions are large and it is prepared traditionally. Overall, not bad for a quick lunch option, though my coworkers aren’t very picky about their Asian cuisine.“

Their food is good and as close to the Chinese food I remember from the northeast, so their NY style is accurate. Some Chinese restaurants around here are terrible. “Other than the employee insisting on lecturing on the difference between broccoli, soft versus well done, the food was good considering Chinese food in Florida, but his tone with me left a sour taste in my mouth and the place is too small that I had to wait in the car until my food was ready. “I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp w/ plain fried rice. My favorite part was how well the veggies were cooked and the sauce was flavorful and just the right amount of spice. The rice was a little dry and I was disappointed that there were only 6 shrimp they were so good I wanted more!

“First time trying this little restaurant on Gunn Highway - very pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and we will be returning.

Vegetarian options: I ordered the mixed vegetables and they were very tasty and a good variety. Lots of broccoli, snow peas, onions, mushrooms, carrots not the usual baby corn and celery. I asked for a bit of heat to the dish and they were happy to comply.

Parking: Easy to park, just pulled up in front of the restaurant. Very easy access.“

“I lived in the Carrollwood/Citrus Park area for about 11 years and China Wok was always our go-to Chinese place. This isn't a restaurant where you would likely want to sit and eat although you can. They are best suited for take-out and delivery and they were always quite reliable and consistently good. Portions are good-sized and ingredients always fresh. China Wok was always sensitive to and delivered on special requirements- leaving out certain ingredients or adjusting recipes to meet taste or dietary needs.

If you live in the area, I highly recommend China Wok for take out and delivery as I found it was the best Chinese restaurant in the area.“

“I have eaten at Kang's Garden infrequently (maybe a couple times each year) since 2021. The previous owner had great food and used to give both soup and an egg roll with a combination meal. Unfortunately, this deal no longer exists, however the new staff is always friendly, professional, and prepares the food promptly. Admittedly, the food was a bit salty/oily for my taste, but was pretty good overall in terms of flavor. The general space inside is fairly similar to other Chinese takeout places. However, I will note that it was fairly clean and organized inside. I would not mind eating here every once in a while.“

“They changed the fried rice and it’s not good anymore. It used to be light colored and fluffy. Now it’s dark and has a hard texture. I do not know why they changed it, but it was not a good change, IMO. I do not go there anymore because of the new rice recipe.“

“Food is really good. I pass 3 other places to go here. Prices are good as well. They dont skimp on portions, but thy could give you at least 3 bags of noodles for a quart of soup, 1 bag doesn't cut it. As for the inside, they have a few tables, but it can be so much more. Sit down counter service would be an amazing thing to have, and they already have the counter and space for it. What I dont like is all of their stock in the dining room. It doesn't look good. It looks trashy. The place is in a great location has amazing potential! I hope it works out.“

“We have ordered from them numerous times over the past year. The place we used to go closer to home got very expensive and I found them when I started going to the chiropractor in the same shopping center. I have never had any issues understanding them and I'm deaf in one ear. They have always been nice. The food is hot, delicious, and reasonably priced. Their egg rolls aren't greasy either. What I like most is that they don't throw all those packets of sauce in the to go orders, which I just throw out. You can request them at the counter or when you order online.“
