We were in town for my daughter's graduation and wanted some shrimp egg foo young that evening, Mrs Patty Li and her husband did an outstanding job with food. Shockingly, we both have the same name, and we gave each other a warm hug! 🖤 Thank you for making the food so good to where I thought I was at home baby! “I got my daughters the kids California rolls and they hated them, which was unfortunate. They hated it for being spicy, I didnt think it was at all. But I might have a high tolerance. I thought the food was great. But I dont think they catered the kids food to kids pallets.

The tofu is always on point and the broccoli with garlic sauce has just the right spice. The homemade hot mustard is kicky and delicious. My husband usually likes the sweet and sour chicken because it’s a good portion and he likes the sweet sauce. Well I had issues tonight with my driver, nothing the restaurant did, DoorDash drivers just weren’t so kind or accommodating. “I ordered the General Tso lunch special with an eggroll. Eggroll was very good. The General Tso's sauce was tasty, mildly spicy and overall very good, but there could have been a little more sauce. Also no broccoli. I thought it normal you get at least a few pieces of broccoli in your Gen Tso. As a whole I enjoyed the food, and would order here again.“

“Shang Hi is a great neighborhood Chinese spot. We ordered the General Tso’s chicken and pork fried rice, and both were delicious. The chicken was tender with the perfect crispy texture, and the pork fried rice was really flavorful, loaded with bean sprouts, and thankfully had no yellow food coloring. “kang's garden is by far one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Tampa. I'm a New Yorker so it's very hard to find really good authentic Chinese food. Kang's garden gets a 10 out of 10. I normally get the bourbon chicken and my daughter gets lo mein. we've tried all of the appetizers I have to say that they are all on point! The only complaint that I have is that I wish the egg rolls were Giant! lol Thank you Kang“

“It’s more of a carry out restaurant, but does have a small dining area. Very good customer service, orders are prepared quickly and they have great lunch specials. I’m a weekly customer and everything I’ve had so far has been delicious. I recommend General Tso’s Chicken, Bourbon Chicken, Pepper Steak w/onion, Boneless Spare Ribs, Beef & Chicken on a Stick, Wonton Soup, Spring Rolls, and Sweet Doughnuts.“

“Was debating between this and Sarku Japan, but the lady handing out free samples swung me to China 88 and I’m glad she did! The chicken is delicious and very meaty. I was concerned the general Tso would be too bready, but it had plenty of meat unlike a certain panda themed Asian chain that sells fried bread with sauce and calls it orange ‘chicken’. The Mongolian chicken (the forked one in the pic lol) was very savory and the sauce had really good flavor. The spicy bourbon had a nice kick to it, but I would’ve liked it more if it was a little spicier. I got the 3 meat plate combo with sautéed veggies as well as 2 sugar biscuits for $18, which I think is a solid deal for what I got. Generous portions and the lady was really nice. I highly recommend checking them out.“
