“Awesome food and service. Sushi was fresh and hibachi cooks were hilarious. Looking at some of the other reviews about cross contamination/allergies not being accommodated…I’d comment to say if you have food allergies and need special accommodations then you shouldn’t be going to a place known for shrimp tossing in the mouth, butter to make a delicious meal and cooking on one surface in front of a group. You’re asking for cross contamination. There are plenty of other options for you rather than giving three 1 star reviews for the same “bad experience”“
“Oh mommy, this place is crazy! Sat down with a group of 8 for all you can eat sushi and our order started showing up before everyone had finished ordering. They don’t mess around. Not the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, but definitely the best all you can eat sushi I’ve ever had. Quality is decent, and service is above average. The menu has lots of options, from sashimi to fried rice and an assortment of rolls (more with cream cheese than I’d prefer). The perpetual love roll is delicious. Our server was very good at continuing to check in with us and asking if we wanted to order anything else. Great value at $31 including appetizers and dessert. I’ll be back.“
“Just had brunch and it was amazing! Our group got a few things and shared and we loved it all. Crab omelette, stuffed French toast, the bowl and last but not least the breakfast sandwich. The food was a 10/10 but the service I can’t even rate. Joey might have been the best server I have ever had, anywhere. Kind, friendly and attentive! Can’t go wrong eating here any time of the day. For the cherry on top, ask for Joey!“
“AMAZING food! This place was right by our Air BNB and I’m surprised it wasn’t on their recommendations list (I’ll be sure to encourage them to update that!)Great chicken fried rice, and we had like 3 different rolls all of which were exception! Can never go wrong with crab ragoons and theirs were awesome! Thanks Jimmy, def coming back when I’m in the area again!“
“A hidden gem within St Pete beach. Stumbled upon this place when searching for restaurants around St Pete beach and was pleasantly surprised. We were seated immediately upon walking in for dinner.Service was lovely. Their ingredients were fresh, and the crispy tofu poke bowl was 10/10. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend this place! Get here early though, because this place fills up quickly for dinner.“
“We have been a fan of this food for over 2 years now, making a point to venture out to find the trucks while out around town. And were so excited to have a Tampa location. The food is amazing and there's nothing else like it. We aren't mad at the pricing because the portions are HUGE, we always get Bang Bang Chicken and something else to try so that eventually we'll taste the entire menu. Everything is always hot and fresh made to order. The only downside, is the employees unfortunately aren't always the friendliest, which sometimes puts a damper on the experience.“
“I’ve been enjoying Sushi Rock Grill for a very long time. Anytime I’m in the area I always make sure to stop by and enjoy their creations.I had the Sushi Nachos and the Volcano Lobster. I also enjoy The Pear chilled sake.Wonderful meal as always.“
“After another favorite spot closed, I tried to find another that had just as good food. This is it. The owners are absolutely awesome and make great food with good portions. Definitely less expensive than other places, especially paying for a show, but I highly recommend trying their food!“
“Casual setting spot next to Williams Park. Seating was on the smaller side so I wouldn’t bring a huge party here. Miso soup was spot on. Fish was FRESH. The kani roll was yummy and topped with a lot of crab. Service was also great! Will be back for sure.“
“Sake selection is was excellent and unusual. The fish was fresh, rolls a decent size, decent price, and the staff were kind and attentive.Look past the fact that it’s in a strip mall, because this place can compete with any sushi place around.“
“This little gem was a massive surprise. I just happened to Google sushi restaurants nearby as I was trying to find a place to grab a bite to eat while rush hour traffic died down. So glad Google led me here! The sushi is fresh and delicious! Beautiful presentation and top-notch service. I would recommend this place to anyone. I just wish I lived close enough to come over and over and over again.“
“If yall don't like this place, I don't like you! This is my GO TO sushi Sunday spot! $3 delivery, I repeat no crazy uber eats fees, $3 freaking delivery. And its always so stinking quick. I've never waiting more than 45 minutes for delivery. Food is always banging, they never forget our sauces or skimp on them. Their doughnuts are a must try. Sushi is fresh! Best ginger dressing of all time. Literal tyrone area hidden gem.“
“Sushi was solid. The yellowtail jalapeño appetizer in particular was great. Edamame was evenly seasoned, which is nice to avoid competition for the salt-bombs.Fried rice felt a bit haphazard: too busy with mixed vegetable ingredients, could use more egg. Teriyaki chicken cubes thrown on top didn't really meld with the rest of it.Ramen looked questionable.Stick to their obvious strengths/namesake and pretend the other stuff isn't on the menu.Staff was a bit busy but helpful and courteous.“
“The service here was amazing. One of the best sushi places in the St Pete/Tampa area. The taste of the maki rolls here are delicious. I have been looking for a sushi place to go to and I have now found my new favorite place to get my sushi fix from now on! I highly recommend everyone to try this place!“
“We were there Saturday night and of course we requested Chuck, even though there was a little wait, Chuck did not disappoint! Our food was delicious, jokes were amazing, and everything he does is just great. Looking forward to coming in again real soon. The service was great as well, our server was very attentive and met all of our needs! This visit was one of our best! Can't wait to dig in to my leftovers today!“
“Always wanted to come here and it looked closed but because they're construction next door. It's so quiet inside and they give you a spring roll and soup as per lunch complementary ?I had the yellow curry and it was delicious(slightly salty for me). I wish the stock itself was a bit thicker so I could taste more of it while eating, as well they just put chunks of potato in the curry? Should cut them down because they were still raw.My boyfriend had a chef special and really liked it, was fascinating to see actually pieces of cashews as well!We also tried their sushi out and it was delicious we had no complaints ?Had to try their version of Thai tea as well and it was tasty. A bit too sweet for me personally.Need to try some other dishes.“
“Don’t let the run down strip mall scare you…. I can only tell ya about Hibachi and I’d tell ya to not hesitate! They got that down, chefs are very personable, quality of food was good, salads were better than portions are ridiculously big! Now from someone that’s been to hibachis everywhere across the USA I’m gonna give ya a few pointers that you can implement moving forward. 1. When the entire table requests no onions that mean no onions PERIOD. That doesn’t mean no onions in food but it’s ok to bring out the onion choo choo train (putting onion juice on the grill before you cook the meat). 2. Never just hand the guests to go boxes and a bag and expect them to pack up their own take homes. They are paying for the experience of eating out so don’t be lazy and box up your guests leftovers especially since it’s the last impression you leave the guest with. You can do everything right and then botch the ending and that one thing is all they remember. 3. I think I would train the chefs to ask a head a time how the table wants their meal seasoned not everyone will be keen on heavy garlic or butter and it could very well ruin someone meal. 4. Now this one happen to me and personally I don’t care but for future guest I would handle your birthday policy a hell of a lot different ESPECIALLY since your a Habachi place (lots of birthdays) If someone comes in with a birthday simply handle the rules up front! Say “Great, as long as today is your birthday it’s on us or we take 20 bucks off”. No need to try and be sneaky and interrogate during the meal it’s not cool to do. It is perfectly fine if your rules say only on the actual birth date. Now here’s a golden goose tip for you to get more reviews (yes, you need more reviews) and implement this starting TOMORROW! Hibachi diners only: Give a $20 dollar credit off entire bill on next visit (add in rules) - Minimum Order Value - Must show Google Review from first visit. Now you get a repeat customer and a much needed review. Also run a local Facebook no need to let Kobe take all the customers because honestly your food was better and f*ck over price chains!“
“I used to come to this sushi restaurant often many years ago, but I'm sad to say I haven't been here in a hot minute with all the new sushi places opening :(. Thankfully, my niece was craving sushi and picked Ichiban so I was excited to try them out after all these years. They are currently only open for take out. We placed our order in by phone and picked up shortly after. Updated menu is online. We ordered the SHRIMP VOLCANO, GATOR ROLL, and TUNA TORNADO. My niece is normally a volcano lover, but this time she fell in love with the GATOR ROLL. It was saucy and generously covered with krab sticks. We will definitely be ordering that roll again. The other rolls were also good -- rolled tightly and just the right amount of rice. I also ordered tuna nigiri and was happy that it was good quality and fresh tasting. Will have to order again to try out some of their newer rolls. Definitely recommend trying them out.“
“We decided to try a new place for lunch. Food was fresh and tasty. I thought prices were competitive with surrounding areas and portions were generous. My veggie fried qyoza was delish! The chicken had a little too much fat on it for my co workers dish. But overall definitely returning and trying other items. Service was fast and friendly. Very clean establishment as well.“
“So I order to go from them once in a whileEach time I order they call my cell from the street to co.e and take the food.... for some reason they don't come to the front door. I also noticed that each time I come outside they on the phone probably making sure nothing happens to them so they want to leave the phone on??Anyway the food is usually ok bu my last order it was a mess . The veggie lo main looked like they just throw it in the box and I ordered a large meal. Before I used to get more and split it but this time I think it was small. The sushi is ok but no matter how many different sushi you order they put them all in the same box!!!“
“OK, I’ve passed this ago. Never once have I really ever thought about stopping there. However, yesterday, I was in the mood for sushi and was looking up good reviews on DoorDash and found this place. I was surprised to look at the address photos and realize this was the same as the little tiny drive-through I’ve passed by so many times.Honestly, I was absolutely shocked. Sushi can be really hit or miss. My very favorite sushi restaurant in all of Saint Pete does not deliver - but I had a DoorDash credit I wanted to use. I have had sushi at several different places, and most times I was disappointed - either there was too much rice, or the fish didn’t taste, or feel fresh, the flavors were t there. or a variety of other reasons. However, the sushi rolls I got last night were incredible.10/10 do recommend. The flavor was amazing, it wasn’t too thick on the rice, the fish was soft but firm. And the flavor!! Every single bite that I took I couldn’t believe how good it was. While I was eating it, I went back to read reviews, and everyone else basically says the same thing: ??♀️ fresh and delicious! How have I been sleeping on this place for the last seven years?!I’m not even kidding when I say that I had it yesterday for dinner and ordered it for dinner as well. One roll I think was $15 and the Philly roll was $8 - Pretty reasonable.Vegetarian options: There were several different sushi rolls labeled vegetarian that consisted of vegetables and rice. Not sure about the rest of the menu because I didn’t look at anything else other than sushi.“
“My husband and I absolutely love this place. We come here regularly for their $12 dinner special. For $12 you get 3 types of rolls, a side, and miso soup. Not only is it a great deal, but their food tastes amazing. This is a small family owned business and the owners have always been friendly and attentive to us. It’s not a fancy place by any means, but that is just what I love about it and it’s cozy inside. Our favorite dinner roll is their Tampa roll - simple and delicious.“
“This is a local hole in the wall. It’s not fancy, but the food is GREAT and service is always timely and polite. The fish is fresh, soups are hot, tempura is crispy and not overly greasy. Shame on the people who complain about food being cold when they clearly ordered a take-out meal. Prices are more than fair. I hope to keep coming here year after year.“
“The food is exquisite; really delicious. Beautiful presentation. The facilities are clean and very nice. Unfortunately our waitress was not very good. We ordered two different plates expecting them at the same time (to share), and we were served one first, and I had to stand up and ask my waitress for the second plate, as the first one was already cold. She really didn’t care too much for us. As for the music, it was so loud that we felt in a disco and talking was impossible. As for great food, I still recommend the place.“
“Yaki-mono is a must for delicious food, awesome service & great atmosphere.Top spot. We will absolutely come back EVERYTIME.Dietary restrictions: I am glucose intolerant and was able to substitute rice noodles. The food is outstanding. Filling and delicious.Parking: Parking here was no problem. Visible signs warn people about towing. As long as you can read, you're safe.“
