“Today we had a delicious and fun lunch at The Madras Cafe. I ordered a Thali lunch special. There was so much food I couldn’t finish! The Chana Masala is delicious. The green bean/onion/pepper curry was delicious. Our server, Fernandes, took great care of us and was happy to explain anything we wanted to know about the different dishes. One of us had a birthday and they brought us a special dessert on the house. We ordered extra food to take home and enjoy later. We are definitely going back.“

Grazi and Luana were absolutely perfect, Ronan was also so kind and helpful. There was also a very kind man bringing us the grillades. He answered any questions I had about the menu, brought my food out quick, made sure my cup was full, and really brightened up the environment. “Wanted a memorable Anniversary dinner and we definitely got it at Maxine's on Shine. It is nestled in a residential neighborhood so parking during peak times can be a bit tricky. We did make a reservation and arrived shortly after they opened at 5pm. Our immediate feel was that we were entering a speakeasy. Cool decorations,intimate yet casual indoor/outdoor seating, private dining area in rear and plenty of staff. Tables and bar were starting to fill up for their happy hour. Mia our server made her introduction and took great care of us throughout. They had a three course magical special along with regular dinner menu. We started with libations then onto a caprese salad appetizer. Our entrees were Maxines Chicken and Pasta and Beef Lasagna (a recipe taken from the former Italian restaurant that occupied the same space).
Both were delicious! We passed on dessert but one of the owners (Mr. Maxine) cane to our table and personally toasted us with a limerick and champagne. We truly welcome the opportunity to return with or without an occasion. Enjoy!“

And the star of the show besides the great cooks was Pen! She was so awesome and sensor from her greeting at the door to her interactions with my two daughters. “We were on vacation in Orlando this summer (2025) and were going to see a movie nearby so we stopped here for pizza and garden salad. I was doing keto so I was only having the salad with chicken (which was very good) but my wife and son were raving about the pizza being the best they ever had... and we've had lots of pizza. “Absolutely wonderful, fine dining Italian dinner at Epcot! It’s a gorgeous and classy dining room with incredibly kind and gracious hosts who checked us in and then led us to our table. Gian Marco was our very nice server who took great care of us. We started with good rolls dipped in olive oil, bread sticks, and the fried calimari appetizer. The squid rings were the most tender and tastiest we’ve ever had. For dinner, my wife had the Italian “surf and turf”, Mare e Monti, which was a delicious braised beef short rib and lobster ravioli. I had the Salmone, which was a nice piece of grilled salmon served atop mashed potatoes over diced tomatoes, capers, olives and anchovies. It was fantastic! We finished this gourmet meal with the tastiest Tiramisu and a Cannolo. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We spoke with Sarah, one of the managers, and she explained that much of the staff are actually from Italy and are working here and gaining experience at a resort style restaurant. They all work together to provide the hospitality and dining experience that must be savored and celebrated!“

“I love this place, however I had an experience on 5/1 that I wasn’t thrilled with and it’s very difficult to find a way to contact to give feedback so I had to resort to a FB review. My mom and I visited on 5/1. Our server spilled most of a Champagne Papi onto my lap. I totally understand mistakes happen, however, not once did anyone ask me if I needed anything. The server (I have the name but don’t want to blast all over FB) never asked me if I was Ok, she just simply said she’d be right back with another one, but it was all of the floor, my shorts, my shirt and splashed my mom across the table. I thought maybe she’d be right back with napkin or towel but she didn’t, so I went to the bathroom to try to clean up, but so surprised that no one ever followed up with me. I’m not sure if maybe she was so embarrassed that she didn’t want to tell anyone, or what happened, but I sat in wet shorts the entire time. Thankfully, the pink dye came out of everything, but still am surprised no one ever checked in. Maybe this is standard for you guys, but I wanted to share in case this is not normal.“

“Have you ever been to a restaurant where there’s a cohesive staff where there’s four team members that go above and beyond that actually take care of you and make sure that your food is good and that service is good? Let me tell you this restaurant there are four staff members back behind the bar who went above and beyond made sure we were taken care of made sure that our food was good. Made sure our drink stayed full and all around. They were actually great to be around. Dairis, Joe, Kaiya, Loraine were the four staff members were behind the bar and I would specifically come back for each and every single one of them. They were that good!!! So do yourself a favor go in just to see any of those four or all four together to see how well they work together because honestly again I would just go back for them alone. And yes, my tomahawk steak was good along with the asparagus and the potatoes. And the four of them made sure of that!!!“
