“11/2024 Simon’s son Tyler and his wife Maya have bought Simon’s and they have a new plant-based menu. Fabulous. ——- 2024 We’ve been coming to Simon’s for many years, often 3-4 times a week. Love their food but recently a few of the waitresses have told me that the granola contains honey, despite being marked vegan on the menu. They have no plans to change the menu markings. There have been other mixups as well with regular cheese vs. vegan cheese and whether specials are fully vegan. Most of the wait staff are terrific at knowing what’s what. Just ask questions. “Fabulous local cafe in downtown Sarasota located on Main St. near Lemon Ave! I started coming here around 10 years ago when Starbucks closed for renovations so this was my morning go to place on my bus layover and I’ve been a patron ever since. Although it’s changed hands a couple of times they’ve always had a very friendly staff and wonderful daily made pastry’s and treats…the coffee is great as well! If you’re downtown I highly suggest trying them out!“

I learned that they have two cold brews on tap. Making the decision between cold brew and nitro cold brew seemed indifferent. Fortunately Liv was on duty and offered me a sample! Boy was that a blessing. I was able to make my decision with some understanding of my options. Not only was the services amazing the artwork displayed was breathtaking! “There are more than a few outstanding breakfast/brunch restaurants in Sarasota, Florida. One of them is Station 400 at 400 North Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota. Owned and operated by Dean and Kelly Fox, it is open from 7:30 to 2:30 daily and has earned a reputation as the leading go-to destination for brunch in the city. My wife is addicted to Belgian waffles with vanilla bean maple syrup, whipped butter, fruit, cream and toast with jam. I always start with a bowl of McCann's steel cut Irish oatmeal with cinnamon, granola and steamed berries. And I finish with the Foxes' version of traditional Eggs Benedict, called Tuffle Eggs Benedict, with a toasted English muffin, arugula, caramelized bacon, roasted mushrooms and truffle hollandaise sauce with hash browns and toast with jam. Station 400 also has a location at 8215 Lakewood Main Street in Lakewood Ranch.“

“When looking for a Tiki Bar where you can put your toes in the sand and walk to the water - this is the only game in town! Comes with the Ritz Carleton standard of excellence when it comes to service and quality! Great spot!

Parking: Only challenge to this beautiful spot is parking - if you are a member or guest at the Ritz hotel, they have valet parking… if not, then you have to find street parking and may have to walk a couple of blocks. Ot terrible, just a little inconvenient.“

Parking: Parking is in a small lot across the street. It can fill up fast during a rush.“

The menu items actually come out looking like they do in the advertisements - and they are loaded full of flavor. I recommend one of the new toasted baguette sandwiches; in particular, the Buffalo chicken is to die for! In addition to phenomenal food and service, the location is adorable and convenient; the outdoor seating is very cozy and inviting - you feel like you are eating in a garden. This is our new favorite casual dining spot to hit up at the UTC mall. Definitely check it out if you are in the area, you will certainly not regret it!“

We didn't stay and eat, what I can say, is it was extremely busy (they must have good food) the ladies bathroom was clean and I was able to go in a clean facility. So yeah, if you need a clean restroom on a trip, stop here. It makes all the difference“
